Plainfield Veterinary Clinic and Surgical Center is a full-service veterinary hospital providing high-quality veterinary care, surgical techniques and dental care to the pets in Plainfield, Naperville, Shorewood, Joliet, Crest Hill and surrounding areas in Illinois. Since 1999 we have treated dogs and cats and provided basic care for exotic pet species, including birds, ferrets, rabbits, reptiles

and small mammals. Our goal is to educate each client and offer each pet the highest quality of veterinary care available.

SUGAR came in last week to see Dr. B for her spay and ears check and she spelled out exactly what she expected of her experience at the clinic on her E-collar. Of course, our Technicians couldn't help but oblige; so Miss Sugar got all the hugs, kisses and love she could ask for. 💖🐾

You're such a good girl, Sugar! 🤗 We can't wait to see you at your post-op appointment!

🎊 Recognizing and Celebrating the Achievements of one of our own! 👏🧑‍🎓✨️🩺🐾💖

On behalf of our entire staff, we would like to congratulate our cherished Plainfield Veterinary Clinic Alumn, Dr. Matthew David Vonch, DVM for the outstanding achievement of obtaining his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine.

Matt started his journey into the Veterinary world at our clinic back in 2018 as a Kennel Assistant. When he didn't get accepted in Vet School the first time, Matt persevered and reapplied the following year. In the meantime, he polished his veterinary skills by joining our awesome technician team. We were privileged to experience along with Matt the moment he got admitted into Vet school, as he found out during one of his shifts at the clinic.

Four years later, Dr. Blaso was honored to have been asked by now Dr. Matt, as his mentor, to perform the hooding ceremony at his graduation just last week. Dr. Blaso and his wife Delia were delighted to be part of this very special occasion in Dr. Matt's life.

We would also like to thank Dr. Matt Vonch's proud parents, Mr. & Mrs. Vonch for trusting us with their pets care for 24+ years, as well as with shaping their son's journey into the Veterinary world.

Panther may have a tough name but he is definitely a snuggle bug! This cute boy came in to see Doc because his ears were bothering him. Our technician, Emily, took advantage of a small break in the schedule, to get in some snuggles! We hope you feel better soon Panther! You're such a good boy!

This dashing young lad is Max! He came in for a spa day with our groomer, Andrea! He got a nice warm bath, his nails done, ears cleaned and a nice haircut and brushing! Just when we thought he couldn't be any more handsome, he came out of the groom room looking like a fresh new boy! See you next time buddy!

As parasite season is in full swing, so are all the fun outdoor activities that we all love! Unfortunately, fun outdoor activities = MOSQUITOES! Pesky mosquitoes!

Make sure your pet is protected against contracting heartworm disease by having them tested each year, and giving them their monthly heartworm prevention!
