Libby’s babies have all found their forever homes… now it’s finally HER turn. 🤍

When Libby first came to us, she was scared, stressed, and pregnant with six kittens. She spent all of her energy being an incredible mom, making sure her babies were safe and cared for. One by one, every kitten found a family of their own, and we couldn’t be happier for them.

Now, sweet Libby is ready for her happily ever after.

Over the months, we’ve watched her slowly come out of her shell. She’s discovered that toys are fun, treats are exciting, and people can be trusted. One of her favorite things? Giving little head bumps to the volunteers she loves. 🥹 She enjoys pets, loves food, and is becoming more curious and confident every day.

Libby is still a little shy at first, but underneath that gentle exterior is a loving girl who just wants to feel safe. We think she would thrive in a home with friendly, confident cats who can help show her the ropes.

This beautiful girl has stolen the hearts of so many volunteers. Now all she needs is someone to give her the chance she deserves.

🐾 Volunteer Appreciation Day 🐾

This past weekend, we had the opportunity to celebrate something incredibly special—our volunteers. ❤️

Beacon of Hope Animal Rescue would simply not be where it is today without the selfless, hardworking, compassionate, and dedicated people who give their time to help cats in need. Volunteer Appreciation Day gave us a chance to come together, share stories, talk about our cats, celebrate our successes, and enjoy the amazing community we’ve built along the way.

Whether it’s cleaning cages, feeding cats, transporting animals to vet appointments, helping at adoption events, fostering, or matching cats with their perfect families, our volunteers are the heart of everything we do. Every adoption, every rescue, and every second chance starts with people who care.

We are so grateful for each and every one of you. Thank you for the love, laughter, teamwork, and countless hours you pour into our mission. 💙

🎉 Two years ago today, Beacon of Hope Animal Rescue began our partnership with PetSmart in Bridgewater, NJ — and what an incredible two years it has been.

Having a space at PetSmart has opened so many doors for our rescue. It has allowed us to grow, reach more people, build an amazing community of animal lovers, and most importantly, save countless cats and kittens who needed a second chance.

Over the past two years, we’ve watched frightened strays become beloved family members, kittens grow up in loving homes, and adopters become volunteers, fosters, and friends. None of this would have been possible without the support of our community.

Today, we’re especially grateful to PetSmart, to our incredible volunteers who show up day after day for the animals, and to Tamar, whose dedication, compassion, and tireless work keep Beacon of Hope moving forward. We’re also thankful for Jim and everyone who works behind the scenes to make this rescue what it is.

As we celebrate this milestone, we’re reminded that rescues like ours are only possible because of the kindness of people who choose to support our mission. Every adoption, donation, share, volunteer shift, foster home, and kind word helps us continue rescuing cats and kittens in need. Biscuit said fashion is his passion. 🧡🎩

This adorable orange boy is only about 2 years old, and while we can’t promise he’ll love every hat we put on him, he certainly tolerates our shenanigans like a true gentleman. 😹

Biscuit is sweet, affectionate, and always wants to be wherever you are. He’ll happily follow you around, soak up the attention, and remind you why orange cats are some of the most lovable companions around.

Found on the streets of Plainfield, Biscuit is ready to trade his rough past for a future filled with love, cozy naps, and maybe a hat or two of his own. 🧡

Do you think Charles likes food? 🤔😭

Because this boy starts purring before the bowl even hits the floor. The second he sees food coming, his motor starts going nonstop. Honestly, Charles purrs through everything — mealtime, playtime, pets, ear scratches… he’s just a happy little chonker with so much love to give.

Charles is just under 3 years old and has been with us for far too long. Every volunteer adores him. He’s playful, hilarious, great with other cats, and once he feels safe, he turns into the sweetest, most loving boy. He deserves a home where he can stretch out, play, cuddle with cat friends, and purr over snacks in peace.

We truly don’t understand how this amazing boy is still waiting. Social media has helped us find homes for so many long-term residents — Auburn, Rocky, Eddie, and more. Let’s make some magic happen for Charles too 🧡
