One of our clients, Casey, recently attended HITS-on-the-Hudson with us aboard our own Umara Z. Here is what she had to say about her experience:

“For my first time back in the show ring in over 2 years, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience with the best people and of course the best mare, Zoey! Everytime I sit in the saddle is a learning experience and I feel so incredibly grateful for the opportunity to show such an incredible horse. Zoey and I developed a very special bond, and she single handedly brought back an old spark in me that I missed very deeply. Thank you to the whole Tharros team for helping me find success in new adventures and partnerships!

This past week at Princeton Show Jumping, Tharros had many successful moments in the show ring.

After quite a few years, T Samouhos took her Umara Z into the ring again and took 1st and 2nd place in USHJA hunters 2’3. Later in the day, T took Mirana LSH into her first hunter classes to take 4th and 1st place in 2’9 USHJA hunters.

Oliwia Samouhos also did her debut in 2’9 USHJA Hunter class to take 2nd and 3rd place abroad Rivallo Van De Diepebeek.

We are very proud of our hunter herd and can’t wait to see them progress further!

Lisa Schmidt, who is a dressage trainer, coach, rider and USEF S judge, is the newest member of the Tharros Equestrian team. She continues to educate herself and her horses to better instruct riders of all disciplines. She recently participated in a clinic with Olympic medalist, Steffen Peters, aboard her own, Luuk. We invite riders of all levels to join Lisa and our other experienced trainers at the newly renovated Tharros Equestrian. We have stalls and horses available for new dressage and hunter/jumper clients.

Training board stalls available at our beautiful, state-of-the-art farm conveniently located off 78 in Pittstown, NJ. We have cultivated the ultimate equestrian paradise where our horses and riders can enjoy comfort and luxury. Our facility offers numerous services and amenities, such as:

- A 200’ by 100’ Grand Indoor Arena, our 350’ by 250’ outdoor ring and a 120’ by 50’ indoor dressage ring all watered and dragged daily
- A large grass field with hills excellent for equine fitness
- Over 20 pastures well kept by a sprinkler system and monthly mowing
- 12’ by 12’ stalls with large windows, fans, cameras, and a ventilation system to circulate fresh air
- Indoor wash stalls and grooming stall with a heat lamp
- Air conditioned/heated tack room with individual, spacious lockers for every horse
- Training from exceptional hunter/jumper and dressage professionals
- Various board and training options available
- Clients and trainers compete at schooling and USEF licensed hunter/jumper and dressage shows as well as participate at clinics held at the farm

We had such a wonderful time at Briarwood Derby day this past weekend! Everyone did a fantastic job and we are so proud of our horses and riders. It was such a fun day full of laughs and smiles!
