🐾 Access to Care
As many as 50 million US pets don’t receive necessary veterinary care. Difficulties in obtaining care for our pets can range from financial hardship to transportation/location difficulties, so our goal is to help outfit our partners with grants that can help them take care of the pets in their community. Angie knew it was time to welcome a pet into the family, but she kept the details a surprise. 💙

After attending a work event (and falling in love with two orange kittens), she brought them home the same day as her daughter’s preschool graduation. She had her kids close their eyes... and their reaction to meeting their new furry family members was everything. 🐾

Now, those kittens are part of the family, snuggled during bedtime stories, greeted with nightly goodnights, and teaching her kids what it means to care for and love another living being.

When the Eaton Canyon wildfires forced Daisy’s family to evacuate, this playful Boston Terrier stayed loyally by their side. But soon after, she developed painful bumps across her back.

Thanks to CAMP—and support from PetSmart Charities’ Fire Relief Fund—Daisy received the care and medication she needed to heal.

Now she’s back to her joyful, cuddly self, bringing comfort and smiles to the family who considers her the heart of their home. 💙

Duke waited almost two years for his second chance. And because of support like yours, he finally got it. 💙

This sweet boy came to our partner, Support the Flagler Humane Society in heartbreaking shape—underweight, with patchy fur and clear signs of neglect. He was lovingly nursed back to health, showered with care, and through it all, never lost his gentle spirit. 🐾

While waiting for his loving home, Duke proudly earned the title of “Adoption Desk Greeter” during his time at the shelter. With his big smile and constantly wagging tail, he welcomed every visitor with gentle kisses and a warm, loving spirit—especially the kids, who adored him instantly.

And after bringing joy to so many others, it was finally Duke’s turn. Nearing two years of waiting patiently at the shelter, Duke finally found his loving home. 🏡

Small Fry's story started on the side of the road.

At just 4 weeks old, he was found struggling and alone until a kind stranger rushed him to a PetSmart Charities of Canada partner, Guelph Humane Society.

Thanks to expert care, Small Fry got the treatment he needed to survive and grow strong. Once he was strong enough, he underwent surgery to remove an infected eye and came through it with flying colors. 🐾

After his long journey, Small Fry was adopted into a loving home, ready to start his next chapter. 💙

Marla and her dog Gilligan have been together nearly 12 years. He’s her little travel companion — always by her side, whether it’s running errands or boarding a plane. 🐾

They recently visited our Pet Hunger Awareness Day event in Tampa, where we provided pet food to families in need of a little extra support.

Gilligan left with a full bag of food — and Marla left knowing she had one less thing to worry about.

Ducky, a one-year-old Havapoo full of energy and charm, brings endless joy to his family. But when his guardian faced financial hardship, even basic veterinary care began to feel out of reach.

Through Flatbush Cats ’ affordable veterinary program, powered by support from PetSmart Charities, Ducky received his annual vaccinations—keeping him healthy and protected without placing extra strain on his family.

Now, Ducky can keep playing, snacking, and spreading happiness, while his family has peace of mind knowing his health is safe. 💙

After Kaitlyn said goodbye to Copper, her beloved dog of 14 years, the holidays felt different. Her heart wasn’t quite whole.

But when the time felt right, Kaitlyn and her partner decided to adopt again, not to replace the love they lost, but to share it with someone new.

That someone was Kota.

From the first night home, he fit right in — calm, gentle, and ready to heal alongside them. It was clear: Kota hadn’t just found a new home. He had helped make it whole again.

Kaitlyn’s story of love, loss, and new beginnings inspired Deer Valley Dreams, a reminder that there’s still joy on the other side of grief.
