😄 It’s National Smile Day, and these happy pups understood the assignment!

From ear-to-ear smiles to tongue-out happiness, these pups are proof that a smile can brighten anyone’s day. Meet Junior, a 14-year-old Chihuahua mix who injured his rear leg and needed urgent care his family simply couldn't afford.

Suzanne was already stretched thin covering her mortgage, utilities, and her own medical expenses. Unfortunately, there was nothing left for an emergency vet bill and Junior was hurting.

Through our Bridge the Gap program and the support of The Grey Muzzle Organization AHS' Pet Resource Center coordinated a same-day appointment for Junior. Thanks to The Grey Muzzle Organization covering 89% of the cost, Junior received a full exam, diagnostics, pain management, and take-home medications. The best news? It was a sprain, not a fracture, so no surgery was needed.

Suzanne said it best: "I got my little guy back and the best news is that he is already starting to feel better and I can't wait for him to be all healed up and back to himself again."

We're so grateful to The Grey Muzzle Organization for making sure neither of them had to face this alone. 🐾🧡

Time flies 😭🐱

It’s graduation season in our Bottle Baby ICU! 🎓 Some of the tiny kittens and puppies once bottle-fed around the clock are now healthy, growing up and heading to the adoption floor. 🧡

Safe with mom again. 🥹🦆
After receiving a call just after 9 a.m., one of our Emergency Animal Medical Technicians spent nearly two hours carefully rescuing ducklings trapped deep inside a storm drain in Gilbert. After the rescue, our investigator searched the area for mom duck and finally spotted her about 15 minutes later.
Watching these babies reunite with their mom is the kind of moment that reminds us why this work matters. Thank you to our incredible Animal Rescue and Cruelty Team for going above and beyond for even the tiniest lives. 🐥🐾

Fostering a bottle baby kitten is so rewarding 🍼🧡

We won’t lie… the late-night feedings, early mornings and tiny cries for milk can be a lot. But watching a vulnerable kitten grow stronger because of YOU makes every sleepy moment worth it.
