Yesterday we finished the day finding 279 pets their forever homes!🥹🫶

Shoutout to our incredible adoption team working long hours with smiles on their faces and hearts full of purpose. Their energy, dedication, and compassion made magic happen.

To our community: THANK YOU once again. The outpouring of love and support was unreal and your patience waiting in line was nothing short of inspiring.

Adoption fees for all pets (no exclusions) will be waived from 11am-6pm at all 3 of our adoption locations. We have over 350 pets up for adoption, so there’s a pet waiting for everyone!

Mark your calendars! If you missed our adoption special last weekend, now is your chance.🙀

Although 385 pets found forever homes last Saturday, we still have almost 1,700 pets within our shelter and in foster care PLUS more than 250 pets currently available for adoption. ALL pets have $0 adoption fees this upcoming Saturday, July 5, at all three adoption locations.

🎆Proper ID: Make sure their tags and microchips are up to date.
🎆Register pets on Petco Love Lost: Free & easy way to search over 200,000 pets with a single photo, thanks to photo-matching technology. (petcolove.org/lost)
🎆Utilize Online Resources: Posting to online groups, Nextdoor, Craigslist, Ring
🎆Post Flyers: AHS offers flyer templates to post
🎆Search Local Shelters and Veterinary Clinics
🎆Keep Pets Indoors and Distracted
🎆Know Pet’s Whereabouts: Do not leave pets unattended in the backyard

Coco has been in and out of our shelter since 2023. 🥺

At no fault of her own, Coco hasn't found the right fit for her. She is an 11-year-old German Shepherd Dog and Chinese Sharpei mix with lots of life and energy still in her. She's a very friendly girl who loves to be the center of attention and meet new people. She's been on many field trips and was very well behaved. She's house trained, loves car rides, and will join you for cuddles after a long day. Coco doesn't have the best social skills with other dogs, but maybe some training could help her learn.
