Our IEA Team registration is open! IEA is a national non-profit organization dedicated to introducing and promoting lifelong involvement in equestrian athletics. IEA is open to riders in grades 4-12 and Adults over 21. IEA is open to riders of all experience levels and provides greater affordability and access to the sport. IEA offers over $1.5 million in collegiate scholarships and the experience of competing in a program similar to collegiate teams.

But mostly, we just have lots of fun!

We’re beyond excited to welcome Sommer Smith to our team as our newest trainer!

With over 10 years of experience in natural horsemanship, dressage, and eventing, Sommer brings not only exceptional skill, but also a passion for developing confident, capable riders—especially youth.

Her equestrian journey started at just 4 years old with her first lesson under Dede Boeninger at Cinnamon Creek, and she hasn’t looked back since. Raised right down the road from our beautiful DEC property in the town of Manhattan, IL, Sommer was inspired early on by her parents, Michael L. Smith, DVM, and Camille Smith.

Sommer’s training approach is rooted in patience, understanding, and respect, focusing on customized plans that help each horse and rider team thrive.
