🎆 The 4th of July is almost here, but for our furry friends, it’s often the scariest night of the year. 🎆

The Fourth of July is all about celebration, but for our furry family members, the booming fireworks can be incredibly scary. In fact, it’s one of the busiest times of the year for lost pets and anxiety-related clinic visits.

To help keep your pets safe, calm, and accounted for, here is your pre-holiday checklist:

🆔 Check those microchips: Make sure your pet's microchip registration and contact information are completely up to date. If they happen to slip out, this is their ticket back home!
🏡 Stay Indoors: Keep your pets safely inside before the fireworks even start. Double-check that windows, doors, and gates are securely closed.
🛋️ Create a "Safe Haven": Set up a cozy, interior room with their favorite bed, blankets, and a white noise machine or TV playing in the background to help drown out the noise.
💊 Don’t wait on anxiety support: If your pet struggles with loud noises, reach for the calming medications early. Calming supplements and prescription anxiety medications work best when given a few hours prior, not at the last minute!
