✨ Meet Lucy✨
📍 Currently at: Green Acres Rescue but being fostered by Kaylia Kase
🦴 About Me: Lucy is an American Foxhound, estimated to be 1 1/2 years old. She was found as a stray emaciated at 17 lbs. No owner was located and she was not microchipped. Since she came to Green Acres Rescue, she has received proper nutrition, all her vaccinations, spay and microchip. Lucy is incredibly lovable, enjoys playing with her foster brothers/sisters as she makes friends easily. She is potty and crate trained
👀 Looking for: A home where she can play chase, tug of war, or just plain wrestle it out. She's is great at doggy daycare and is learning to chill when hanging out at breweries.

Pensacola Paw-di Gras is an annual event in downtown Pensacola that adds to our amazing Mardi Gras events. This event brings together our animal loving community, and helps raise awareness and funds for local animal shelters and rescues in need.

🎉🐾 Happy 1st Barkday, Laveau! 🐾🎉

Last September, we showed up to a local shelter event ready to foster—our eyes set on a male pup. But fate had other plans. The pup we had in mind was adopted, and in his place came a tiny white furball running straight into our hearts.

Just a few months before, we had said goodbye to our beloved Marie, our 12-year-old shepherd and soul dog. 💔 We truly believe she had a paw in guiding Laveau to us—because sometimes the best things come when you’re not looking.

We named her Laveau, in Marie’s honor. And just like that, she wasn’t just a foster—she was family. ❤️

Fast forward a year, and today we’re celebrating Laveau’s very first Barkday! She’s silly, sassy, snuggly, and absolutely perfect.

🌈🐾 In Loving Memory of Hemi 🐾🌈

Today we honor the beautiful soul of Hemi, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge and left paw prints on all our hearts. She was deeply loved — and she loved just as deeply in return.

Hemi’s spirit was pure joy, and we know she’s now running free along the heavenly beaches, tail wagging in the sun.

To her moms — our hearts are with you. Your love gave her the best life, and her memory will forever shine.
