Photos with Santa was a roaring success! 🎉 We want to extend a huge THANK YOU to everyone who joined us Sunday and brought their adorable pets along for this pawsitively delightful event! We had an absolute blast seeing all the furry friends lining up to meet Santa.

A special shoutout goes to our incredibly talented photographer who captured all these heartwarming moments. Your skills behind the lens truly brought out the magic of the season!

We also want to express our gratitude to who allowed us to host this fantastic photo session. And as if that wasn’t enough, they even gave us a generous gift basket to raffle off to our awesome attendees.

And last but certainly not least, a massive round of applause and an extra big THANK YOU to Santa himself, aka Greg! Your jolly spirit and warm presence truly made this event magical for all. We couldn’t have done it without you!

As the holidays approach, we need to reach out to you guys for help in supporting our own little holiday angel.

Meet Angel! Angel is a sweet 11 year old senior Maltipoo. Unfortunately, her mother recently passed at 86 years old and Angel was left with nobody to care for her so she was brought to the vet to be euthanized. Sadly, this is a frequent request with older dogs who lose their people. We are so glad that we were contacted because, as the vet said, "She’s not ready for that yet!”.

We have found a loving home willing to let Angel live out her golden years and experience the love she deserves, but the costs are adding up. In October, Angel had a fainting episode and we learned quickly that Angel has heart failure. She has an enlarged heart with a significant heart murmur. Since then, Angel has been to vet visits, prescribed ongoing medications, had blood tests done and recently went to a cardiologist, and the costs are adding up!

All we want is this girl to be able to continue to live her best life. She doesn’t know she’s sick and we want to keep it this way. She’s got her first furry sibling with a fenced yard she loves to explore. She came with a ramp to get up on the couch and quickly said “I don’t need that!” and leaps up and down like the perky girl she is. Her skin and fur is improving and she’s already lost 5 pounds, with 3 more to go to get her to a healthy weight.

We need your help to continue to help Angel. Anything makes a difference. We will continue to post Angel updates on our social media and as always, we are thankful for each and everyone of you. We couldn’t do this without you!

Are you looking for the world’s best cuddle buddy? Meet Marina! She is about 2 years old and 40 pounds. After struggling to survive on the streets, Marina is now enjoying the simple comforts of a cozy bed and full tummy. Like many other rescue dogs, she is so grateful and gives this love back times 100! If you’re looking for a pup to snuggle up to you and keep you warm, this is your girl! When she’s not being a snuggly couch potato, Marina loves playing with toys, running around with her other dogs, and wrestling with them, too! Big dogs, small dogs, any dogs! Marina wants to be friends with them all! Life as a stray was very scary and lonely, so Marina would prefer a home where her human is around most of the time. A doggy sibling to keep her company would be wonderful, too, and you bet she is going to give them lots of cuddles! Marina is working on gaining a little weight and healing her skin after being on the streets for so long, but with a little TLC from her new family, this beautiful girl is going to shine even brighter than she already does!

🩵🩷 FRESNO AND LILLIE 🩷🩵

Fresno and Lillie quickly become the best of friends. Fresno had a rough start to his life but Lillie gives him confidence to face his fears and remember to play while Fresno gives Lillie the protection of a big brother whenever her puppy fears take over. When Lillie isn’t following Fresno around like a little shadow, they can be found cuddling in their crate together. The two have bonded very quickly as they wait for their forever home and we’d love to see them stay together and grow up and become a part of their forever family. If you’ve been considering adding two deserving pups to the family, now is the time! These two are the dream brother and sister duo and promise to bring lots of love, laughter and cuddles to their forever home.

Soooo.....check these pics out! It's just a taste of the fun we had at our Putts for Mutts golf tournament on October 2nd.

Beautiful weather. Happy golfers. Great clubhouse, stunning course, delicious meal hosted with perfection by Joanne Flynn at the Windham Country Club. And our lovely mascot, Ella, back for her 4th? 5th? event.

October is Pit Bull Awareness month, so we wanted to share some fun tidbits with you about these amazing dogs. ✏️📕

🐾 Did you know that Pit Bulls are not actually a breed of dog? The term refers to a variety of breeds, like the American Staffordshire Terrier, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, the American Pit Bull Terrier and other such mixes of dogs. Many dogs that are classified as “pit bulls” are actually a combination of mixed breed dogs which bear some physical resemblance.

🐾 Pit Bulls do not have a lockjaw. Pit Bulls actually don’t have the most powerful bite when compared to other larger dogs and can be out chomped by Kangals, Bandogs and English Mastiffs.

🐾 Pit Bulls are naturally warm and kind-hearted. Ever heard the phrase “nature vs. nurture”? Well, that applies here too. Pit Bull-type dogs, just like any other type, follow “learned” behavior taught by the humans who raise them. An attentive caring owner will raise a happy well-adjusted pet.

🐾Despite their fearsome reputation, Pit Bulls aren’t considered great guard dogs by those in the know. They’re too trusting of humans and always looking to make a new friend.

And here’s another fun fact: ARNNE has many of adoptable, lovable Pit Bulls just waiting to find their forever homes. Make October the month of their homecoming. 🐾❤

❤️ MEET PIP ❤️

This sweet girl has been through A LOT and has already been failed by humans so many times, yet through it all, she decides to love people. Pip will be coming up from South Carolina next week and we’d love to get her straight to her forever family, where she can have a routine, feel safe, and give all her love to everyone around her. Pip is 3.5 years old and only 42 pounds, making her the perfect little fun-sized pittie mix.

Pip’s dream home would be with an active family who loves to go for long walks or hikes and parents that would let her join in on all their fun adventures and car rides. Pip does well on the leash and is eager to please making her very trainable, putting her bum right on the ground if she thinks there’s a reward involved and running to her crate when her foster takes out her treats. Pip is crate and house trained.

Pip loves to be around her people and just needs a family who wants to show her the love and affection she deserves. Pip is joining us from a shelter in South Carolina, where she was the longest resident putting her in extreme danger. Now she’s safe, thanks to a wonderful foster, and we’re focused on finding her forever family to make everything she has gone through worth it.

✨ ADOPTABLE GOOSE ✨

AVAILABLE WITH 🐾

Goose is the sweetest dog and wants nothing more than your love, like his face on your face kind of smothering love. He is EXTREMELY sensitive and easily gets his feelings hurt. He has a big heart with equally as big emotions. He does need a lot of reassurance and coaxing at first, especially in new situations if he becomes the slightest bit uncomfortable he will not eat. Goose has separation anxiety in addition to confinement phobia, a tricky combination. Because of this he will need a savvy owner who can provide the structure he thrives off of. If he senses fast movement around the house he knows you are going to leave and this is when the anxiety starts. It is best he is left to free roam the home. If he feels confined by a baby gate or crate he will lose it and does become destructive. It also helps if he doesn’t see you leave, you will need to sneak out a side door. He is better with dog friends left in the home with him they also provide him a sense of company when you are away. He is 100% potty trained and non destructive as long as he is not confined, you don’t have to worry about him messing anything up. Goose will sleep on the couch at night but prefers to be in the bed with you if allowed. It’s important to note he does have a high prey drive and will hyper focus on cats but he has learned to coexist with the one in his foster home. Goose is typically insecure and submissive around other dogs he even will give up his toys and chews without issue. While he normally does fine around new dogs he has shown selectivity a few times by growling. This is usually with male dogs bigger than him or dogs with "too much energy" in his eyes. We strongly recommend slow intros to any other male dogs. His initial reaction seems to be based in his insecurity, and he will eventually open up once he knows he’s not threatened. Goose loves people more than life itself. Home is his happy place. He thrives off routine, consistency and predictability within the home. Goose will make the PERFECT dog for someone who loves BIG and understands his emotions and needs. ❤️

Looking for a snuggly puppy? This is Luna (aka Lorna). She is 8 months old and she is looking for a home in New England. She is medium energy, likes to play, and LOVES to snuggle.

She is a bit shy, as she was found as a stray and does not quite know who to trust. Once she trusts you she gazes at you with the eyes of love. She has incredible eyes(!) that are a bluish-yellow color like full moons, and a cute pink nose.

She is 45 lbs and has a few more months of growth to go. She looks to be a yellow lab /pit/husky mix. (Just a guess without dna). In the past week she has been with us she has learned to potty outside,learned hand signals for sit, and how to wait at the door. She is quite smart and is eager to please. She is available NOW through Animal Rescue Network of New England.

Yesterday was Billy's 'Gotcha Day'!
As his foster I am so happy for him and his new family. I don't understand the math. He left a void ... but filled 4 voids at the same time? Magic.
