🔍✨ Say hello to Jess, one of our amazing Licensed Veterinary Technicians, skillfully performing an abdominal ultrasound here at Pet Medical Center of Pasco!

Ultrasounds are a vital, non-invasive tool that help us evaluate soft tissue structures in real time. They’re commonly used to help detect and diagnose conditions like kidney disease, pyometra, intestinal blockages or foreign bodies, bladder stones, and masses in the liver or spleen.

We perform ultrasounds a few times a month. They do require fasting and a quick shave of the fur on the belly. The ultrasound studies are sent for consult with specialists for added expertise and typically receive full results within a week, sometimes even sooner.

When pets aren’t feeling their best, ultrasound can provide crucial answers quickly and comfortably helping guide treatment with precision and care. 🐶🐱💛

🌟 Pet of the Week: Bane! 🐾💙

Stealing hearts one paw at a time! Meet our Pet of the Week, Bane! This calm, cuddly, and totally charming 4-year-old French Bulldog came in for his annual check-up with Dr. Todd after his mom noticed a small bump between his toes. Turns out it was a sneaky piece of cheat grass but don’t worry, he’s on the mend and soaking up all the love! ✨

Bane’s mom shared some of the most heart-melting facts with us:

💤 He always has to rest his head on you during cuddle time ( non negotiable)
🧸 His favorite (and only!) stuffed animal is a bear that he treats like a pacifier
🐶 He adores his Frenchie sister Briar (even if she’s not the biggest fan of the vet)
🤪 He has a signature move jumping up to gently bop you in the face, which earned him the nickname “Boppy”

Bane LOVES visiting us at Pet Medical Center (we love you too, buddy 🥹), and we’re so honored to care for him. He’s the definition of a good boy, and we’re proud to crown him Pet of the Week! 🐾

🌟 Pet of the Week: Bodhi! 🌟

Say hello to Bodhi, the sweetest boy with the softest eyes and a heart full of love! 💙

Bodhi loves to snuggle up for naps with his favorite blanket (preferably in your lap ), give the gentlest kisses, and definitely believes that pup cups should be available on every street corner. 🐾

He’s got a playful spirit and is always up for a game of tug-of-war, sandbox excavation (oops!), or chasing his remote-controlled car around like a total goofball.

With his contagious energy and silly antics, Bodhi brings sunshine wherever he goes. Whether he’s digging, zooming, or just giving you the “puppy eyes,” he’s sure to make you laugh, smile, and fall in love. 💛

Thank you to Bodhi’s family for letting us be part of his care. We can’t wait to see that adorable face again soon!

While pet seatbelts are widely used and available, the safest travel method is securing your pet in a crate. This fully removes distractions from the driver, prevents the pet from running away or jumping out the window, and adds an additional protective layer if ever in an accident.
