This goose showed up on Dr. Oliver's doorstep a few days ago after being shot with a tracer arrow. The doctor brought it to the hospital, anesthetized it, took X-rays, and removed the arrow. It was taken to a waterfowl rehab center and, at last report, is recovering well.
Very lucky goose!

Welcome to the team, Dr. Dailey!

Dog owners feeding grain-free diets, please read this report from the FDA:

https://www.fda.gov/animal-veterinary/news-events/fda-investigation-potential-link-between-certain-diets-and-canine-dilated-cardiomyopathy

Mounting evidence suggests a link between grain-free diets (certain brands especially) and canine dilated cardiomyopathy. This is a condition where the heart becomes enlarged and is unable to pump blood effectively. This past December we lost two patients to this condition; both were on diets cited in the FDA report.

Latest update on the FDA’s investigation into reports of dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) in dogs eating certain pet foods.
