Named for Calumet Farm's famed Our Mims, Our Mims Retirement Haven is a sanctuary for retired Thoroughbred broodmares. Currently caring for 11 horses, includng our mini mascot Tea Biscuit.

At 31 years old, Play Book is the oldest resident of Our Mims Retirement Haven.

This Maryland-bred daughter of Fast Play, a Grade 1 winning son of Triple Crown champion Seattle Slew, raced 29 times and finished in the top three in eleven of those starts.

"Bookie" has no shame in pushing the other mares aside to make sure she gets all the belly scratches—her favorite—that you can give. September 1st will mark the 10th anniversary of her arrival at the Haven! 🤎
