The education of horses, riders, and trainers is ever-evolving. Josh constantly improves his techniques, making it easier for both horse and rider. He spends his days at horse training clinics, giving private instruction, and teaching at equine events. Through Josh’s Horse Training Schools, the John and Josh Lyons Certification Program, and the Josh Lyons Accreditation program, there now exists a unique and ever-expanding platform to help you train your own horse and enable every horse person to achieve a higher level of understanding than they ever thought possible. Josh Lyons LLC is approved and regulated by the Colorado Department of Higher Education
Private Occupational School Board. Our programs are approved for the enrollment of those eligible to receive VA Education Benefits
The John & Josh Lyons Certification Program and the Josh Lyons Accreditation Program are approved for GI Bill® Benefits

Lyons Legacy understands that not everyone can attend one of these events due to geographical or financial constraints. It is for this reason that Josh decided to release his Online Training Program - to bring the wonderful Lyons Legacy methods to more people and in a way that makes it accessible to all horse riders. https://lyons-online.mykajabi.com/

The Lyons Legacy also has a full line of equine educational products and some of the best tack and equipment available – visit our store today!”

In addition to the Colorado facility, Josh, along with his wife and partner, Jana, and their sons have since expanded to Scottsdale, AZ. Josh Lyons is a regular guest at most major horse expos including Horse World Expo, Western States Expo, Equus America, Equine Affaire, and Equitana. In 2002, Josh won the highly celebrated “In a Whisper” Challenge. In addition to developing his own equine educational products, Josh makes TV appearances and contributes articles for various horse publications. It’s a rare person whose life’s goal is to help others with their horses. Josh’s understanding of the horse’s mind coupled with the ability to bring out the best in both riders and horses is unrivaled. Eager to constantly refine and improve upon what he can offer, Josh continually strives to develop new and better training methods. Whether behind the barrier in a roping box, or changing leads in a reining pattern, Josh demonstrates confidence, knowledge, and style with a contagious smile and charismatic personality. It is through years of dedicated work and study that brings Josh Lyons to where he is today – one of the world’s most talented and respected horsemen.
