🐾 Happy National Veterinary Technician Week! 🐾

This week, October 12-18, we are celebrating the incredible, compassionate, and dedicated heroes known as Veterinary Technicians/Assistants!
They are the backbone of our clinic, doing everything from monitoring anesthesia during surgery and performing diagnostic tests to educating pet owners and providing that much-needed extra snuggle. Vet techs are skilled nurses, lab technicians, radiographers, phlebotomists, pharmacists, surgical assistants, and emotional support to pets (and their humans!) all rolled into one amazing professional.
They truly embody the heart and science of veterinary medicine.

🐾 Is Your Pet in Pain? Know the Signs of Joint Issues 🐾

Our pets can’t tell us when something hurts, but they do show us in other ways. Joint pain, arthritis, and other mobility problems are common in both dogs and cats, especially as they age.

Watch for these signs:

✅ Limping or favoring one leg
✅ Stiffness after rest or exercise
✅ Difficulty climbing stairs or jumping
✅ Decreased interest in play or walks
✅ Trouble getting up or lying down
✅ Licking or chewing at joints
✅ Behavioral changes; irritability or withdrawal

🐕 Dogs may hesitate to go for walks or take longer to get moving.
🐈 Cats may stop jumping onto furniture, avoid grooming, or use the litter box less.

If you notice any of these changes, schedule an appointment. Early diagnosis and treatment can make a big difference in your pet’s comfort and quality of life.
