The Scanlon family have been lifelong friends of mine & Chris is what the city of Buffalo needs to keep growing stronger.

What many of you might not know is that our horse Scanoots (aka Snoopy in the barn) is named after Mr. John “Scanoots” Scanlon who had passed away right before I purchased him. Mr. Scanlon was a wonderful man and had a fabulous personality, so I thought it suited him perfectly. ♥️☘️♥️

RIP Spectacular 4/28/2001 - 5/12/2025

Bid was probably my most misunderstood horse. He was difficult in a stall and while tacking up. You would have thought that he was abused, but I know the barns who had him before he came to Skibbereen and I am certain he was treated with no less care and kindness than what we also gave him. I could never let him go anywhere else because I was afraid in the wrong hands he would not be treated as he deserved.

Bid was one of the greatest teachers. If you did things incorrectly - he would tell on you, but if you did things correctly - he was utter perfection. He was my favorite to jump on during a lesson to demonstrate.
He knew I understood and loved him and was always accepting of my rubs, kisses and snuggles but rarely granted those indulgences to others.

Until the day I retired him at Passing Fancy Farm even as he aged physically, this horse would have tried to jump the moon for you if you asked it of him. His heart was so much bigger than his fine Thoroughbred body.
Hope you are galloping fast up that rainbow and jumping high over it Biddie 🌈💔☘️💔

Congratulations to Mae Kraetz on her fabulous ride on Seton Hill’s Meg to finish 3rd in the Limit Hunter Seat Equitation over fences at IHSA Zone finals at West Virginia University!
What a fabulous way to end the University at Buffalo Intercollegiate show season!!

Congratulations to these young ladies on a great IEA season!
While Zone finals did not go as well as they hoped and no one is moving on to Nationals this year, we did have lots of good rides, good ribbons and lots of lessons to build on moving forward.

Thank you to for hosting our Zones and all the horse providers like and many others for blessing us with the rides on their wonderful horses. We are grateful to all of you!

We are a bit tardy on our posting because we have been so busy lately, but we wanted to wish a huge congratulations to for terrific rides at IHSA Regionals this year!

All of our riders placed very well and Mae Kraetz will be moving on to zones after winning the limit over fences class! Thank you to Cornell Equestrian team for hosting a great Regional and special thanks to Sarah Donoghue for filling in as coach. We appreciate all of you!
