My name is Vernon, and here’s what you should know about me: 🐾

• I’m just shy of 1 year old, and I still have that adolescent charm.

• I love people. All people. Big people, small people, people I just met five minutes ago.

• Personal space is more of a suggestion than a rule.

• I am not very tall, but I am very sturdy. Some have described me as a bull in a china shop. I choose to take that as a compliment.

• I love other dogs and would happily make more friends.

• My leash manners need some work, but I am eager to learn and would be thrilled if you taught me things. (especially if there are snacks)

• I would like to be included in whatever you are doing.

• If you sit down, there is a strong chance I will be in your lap.

I think we should probably meet. I’ll be waiting at Little Victories today from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Or adopt me at littlevictories.org.

Fred is a big guy. Really big. He's turning heads as soon as he walks in the room. But once you spend a little time with him, his size stops being the most interesting thing about him.

Six-year-old Fred is probably staring you down in the Cat House, sitting peacefully as he waits for your attention.

He loves to be brushed, which is especially important because grooming himself is not always easy. He enjoys attention, likes having his people nearby, and settles into companionship in a quiet, genuine way.

Fred deserves a home where he can continue his weight-loss journey, get the care he needs, and spend his days being loved for more than the number on the scale.

PUPDATE: Levian has been adopted! 😊

Levian is every bit the poodle stereotype. 🐩

Smart, busy, social, a little ridiculous, and fully convinced she should be included in all family activities, this 4-year-old girl has a personality under all those curls.

She loves toys, water, snacks, and people, not necessarily in that order. Levian is playful, affectionate, and genuinely fun to spend time with.

She is also good with kids and does well with other dogs. She has lived with both a toddler and a teenager and already understands a lot about home life.

🐾 Levian is being spayed today, so she is not available to meet just yet. But we encourage interested adopters to message us with questions or submit an application at littlevictories.org to schedule a meet and greet.

If something exciting is happening, Daffy is already halfway there! Catch her at 12:15 p.m. on WSAZ as your !

At 7 months old, Daffy is goofy, social, playful, and in love with everyone she meets.
She loves people, is great with other dogs, loves snacks, and can't wait to be your best friend.

Limerick is dangerously easy to love.

At about a year old, he's pretty much the perfect cat: loves people, affection, toys, playtime, and treats. And on top of all that, he adores his cat friends and happily piles up for cuddles whenever the opportunity presents itself.

Honestly, he is just a really, really good cat.

Join us for Dine to Donate at Texas Roadhouse Huntington from 4–8 p.m. Tuesday, May 26.
