The Fourth is almost here! Remember to keep your pets indoors and comfy to help them stay safe and stress-free during fireworks. If you need medication for the holiday please be sure to reach out as soon as possible so we can get that taken care of before fireworks start in the coming weeks! Please keep in mind, it can take several days to have medications refilled so if you know your pet will need it, don't wait! If your pet has a hard time with the 4th of July holiday and fireworks or thunderstorms, give the office a call to schedule an appointment to discuss management options for your furry friends to help keep them calm and relaxed through the holiday! 💙🐶🐱

Hug Your Cat Day is one of those unofficial pet holidays that we are fully embracing here at Fort Street Veterinarian. A few fun ways to celebrate:

* Extra cuddle session (on the cat’s terms, naturally)
* New toy or catnip
* A cardboard box “upgrade”
* Taking a ridiculous number of photos
* And for the cats who do not enjoy hugs: respectful admiration from three feet away also counts. 😂
