FAWS Fall Contest is this Friday Sept 26, 2025

Contest is at the Fairgrounds!!

Set up at 7am You can work off your truck!! Consider bringing a shade tent!!

Registration for the Fall Contest is now closed.
We have over 40 competitors signed up!!!!

Details for the shoeing classes.
Top 8 in each division will shoe a horse.

Novice will shoe RH with keg shoe, no specimen.

Intermediate will shoe LH with appropriate concave stock. Specimen will be a RH concave shoe for other foot.

Open will shoe a pair of front feet with 3/4 fullered

11:00 “Forging Copper” Brandyn Davis will demo working with the m**h heads favorite stolen metal.

1:00 “Strategies for Running a Successful Farrier Business” with Ruben Davalos. Learn from one of the best on what it takes to be successful in this trade.

The location for the contest Friday has been changed. We will be at the Kittitas County fair grounds. The contest will be at the big parking lot East of the city pool. Please inform your friends. It WILL NOT be held at the roping arena. The clinic will be held at Central Washington Equine hospital.
