For one of our own, Mud Bay team member Benjy, giving blood is a meaningful way of helping people in our community. Benjy visited the Bloodwork’s Northwest Bloodmobile at our Mud Bay Sumner location to donate and to explain why giving blood is still important to him. We are proud to partner with Bloodwork’s Northwest in order to make blood donation more accessible in the communities we serve.

Every blood donation has the power to change a life, and today we’re proud to kick off our Bloodworks Northwest mobile blood drive campaign at our Mud Bay Tumwater location.

One of today’s donors was longtime Mud Bay employee Lani Benavente, whose donation also marked an incredible milestone: becoming a one-gallon blood donor.

For Lani, donating blood is deeply personal. “My daughter is the reason I donate blood. Donating blood allows me to turn her memory into a gift that can help another family.”

Stories like Lani’s remind us why we’re proud to partner with Bloodworks Northwest. Throughout August and September, Bloodworks Northwest will be visiting select Mud Bay locations, making it easier for our communities to donate blood and help save lives.
