DOGGIE DAYCARE NOTICE 🐾
Our groomers have gone back to school
(and yes… the dogs tried to enroll too).
📚✂️ Doggie Daycare will be CLOSED ✂️📚
December 30th – January 13th
Why?
Because even professional groomers need to sharpen their skills, learn new tricks, and pass their tests — just like good pups.
We’ll be back January 13th, refreshed, smarter, and ready for wagging tails, playtime, and zoomies.

Since the power is out, let's do an important announcement!
🥳 after the new year and after returning from school we will be accepting new clients! 🥳
After nearly a 2-year apprenticeship, and meticulous education during that time, Shasta will have learned from the best of the best at the highest industry standard achievable. She will continue her education but will be able to take most breeds on. She has worked very hard for her grooming education, and now gets to go to school with the Godfather of Grooming at the new year. Along with the Barkleigh's crew. Her next steps in education will follow similarly to mine and Dodie's going to Super zoo in the summer and Hershey's in the winter will solidify her as a full-fledged groomer learning from the best in the industry!
Much like myself I spent several years apprenticing from a master groomer (Dodie) and getting my grooming education. Shasta has done that plus some in similar fashion to both Dodie and I.
Shasta is the only Apprentice who came from our shop to achieve this level of Education, patience in her learning, as well as taking and spending the time to learn about dog behavior, Anatomy, business, client relations, and the fundamentals of skin care.
As her teachers we only wish those who learn from us become greater than us and more successful than us. Shasta Stolle is well on her way! It is now time for her to start taking furry clients that she has worked on for so many years as she passes each breed standard. So far she has passed all of her tests on first try and grooming fundamentals.

Today at The Grooming Garage, we had an unexpected medical emergency with my boy Bucky. He experienced a seizure at the shop, and our entire team moved quickly into action to keep him safe, stabilized, and comforted.

I want to take a moment to thank every single client who was present and showed such grace, patience, and understanding while we handled the situation. Your kindness in that moment meant everything to us. Thomas S, Debbie H, Sabrina C, Kosanne, Lori D., Norma N., Linda C., and Ann M., you were extraordinary. You are extremely extraordinary!

For anyone who may not know us well yet, this is who we are as a business: we will always put life before money. We would stop the world for your pets just as quickly as we did for mine. When an animal is in distress, any animal! our first and only priority is their safety and well-being. Grooming can pause. Schedules can shift. Lives cannot be replaced.

Thank you to everyone who stood with us today, gave us space to respond, and supported us with calm hearts. Bucky is home resting, and we are deeply grateful for this community.

From Luna at The Grooming Garage 🤠

Double coats are wild. They’re like a self-cleaning oven that never actually cleans itself. Labs, Huskies, Shepherds, Poms… they just explode into fluff and pretend it’s “normal.”

If we don’t brush out that undercoat, it mats together like a wool sweater in August.
Dogs overheat, itch, and shed like they’re trying to build a second dog on your couch.

Brushing + de-shedding = health care, not a beauty appointment.
