We heard it was World Lizard Day, and you know we weren't about to miss an excuse to show off some of our favorite swamp locals.
Fun fact: our little green anoles are sometimes called
"American chameleons" because they can change from bright green to brown..but plot twist, they're not really changing colors to hide! Their color can change with things like temperature, light, and even their mood. f
