55 miles of red-clay and rolling pine trails in the Florida Panhandle? Yes, please! 🐴

If you haven't checked out the Coldwater Horse Trail system in Blackwater River State Forest near Milton, it is an absolute paradise for trail riders. Unlike the flat coastal trails further south, here you get rolling sandhills, crossings near clear, sandy-bottom creeks, and towering longleaf pines.

Even better for haul-in riders: the Coldwater Recreation Area features dedicated equestrian camping, stalls, paddocks, and easy trailer access—making it one of the top destinations in the entire state for a weekend getaway with your horse!

Read the complete guide on trailer parking, stalls, and trail routes below! 👇

Rosie’s favorite way to beat the Florida heat: standing directly in the water and splashing away! 💦🐴

As much as she loves her puddle time, her real job on the ranch is hosting our Horse Lovers Meet & Greets for the kids!

If you have little ones who aren't quite 13 yet for our trail rides, this experience is built just for them:

• Ages 5 and under are FREE with a paid adult ticket!
• Safe, unhurried ground time to pet, brush, and hang out with Rosie.
• Cooler Florida weather 🍂 is right around the corner—the perfect time to come visit!

Even better for weekend haul-ins: the Horseshoe Equestrian Group Camp is built to accommodate large horse trailers and offers on-site horse stalls with water access.
