My true passion has always been animals, specifically dogs and I've had my own dogs for as long as I can remember. I am now doing what I was truly meant to do and I put my heart and soul into it. 🤔Keep in mind, dog training has a lot of moving parts, its not just about achieving an "obedient dog." Our dogs should WANT to please us, and look to us for guidance.

👇Here are other important factors to consider while creating a bond, built on trust and respect:

✅️ Provide clear and consistent communication that your DOG can understand

✅️ Provide structure and leadership

✅️ Provide physical and mental stimulation

✅️ Provide rules and boundaries

✅️ Socialize and build confidence

✅️ Make training time fun for your pooch and never ask for more than your pup can handle

✅️ Have fun! If you and your pup don't enjoy training, you aren't doing it right.😉

I have only worked with 2 other Leonberger dogs in my 17 years as a Trainer. So, I couldn't wait to meet adorable ❤️Oakley❤️and her humans.

This giant, loving and gentle breed is primarily a versatile working dog, rather than a herder. While they were historically used as all-around farm dogs that could guard livestock, they are famously known for their abilities in water rescue and draft work (pulling carts).

Feeling frustrated with your dog's reactivity? It often comes down to how clearly we're communicating and providing that essential leadership they crave, no matter their prior circumstances. Sometimes, what we think is defiance is actually confusion or a lack of direction. 🐶 Helping them understand what we expect can make a world of difference. Focusing on building that trusting partnership is key!
