Today is all about celebrating the feline friends who make our lives better—whether they're professional lap warmers, expert biscuit makers, or tiny rulers of the household. 😻

Want to celebrate? Here are a few cat-approved ways:

🐾 Respect their boundaries. Not every cat enjoys a big hug, and that's okay! Try gentle pets, chin scratches, or letting them curl up beside you on their own terms.

🐾 Treat them to something special. Break out their favorite wet food, sprinkle some catnip, or surprise them with a new toy.

🐾 Share the love. Don't have a cat of your own? You can still celebrate by volunteering, donating food to our food pantry (we help citizens of Cedar Rapids when they're animal food insecure), fostering, adopting, or simply enjoying a few adorable cat videos online.

Remember: the best "hug" is the one your cat chooses. ❤️
