They are so ready for their and were trapped this summer after being alerted by passer-by when the mama & four kittens were spotted across the lot from on 3rd street between Park Slope & Gowanus.

A post and TEN-year for Lady Gizmo this week! On September 2 a friend alerted me of a lost, dirty, tiny lone kitten she found stumbling across the street. I was out of town and asked if he could foster temporarily.

It's been ten years since... 😹😅

And she's been a fixture to all his recordings, practice sessions and constant fixture foster-sister to countless cats & kittens that came through his doors due to rescue work on the side 😊

The saga of Franny & Milk...updates. Make sure to check all the pics till the end 😊

Can anyone give a reason that when they have an apartment or house, they can't foster? Can anyone tell me why, when your cat passes away, you take yeeeeears to NOT foster a cat that is craving for a bit of space while saying that the memory of your cat who passed away doesn't make you "ready" when there are cats and kittens DESPERATELY even happy with a bathroom?? 😪

Why is it okay to let overwhelmed rescuers with low space take all the burden and multiple cats but for those who CAN HELP to walk away?? Sadly, so many looked the other way when it came to these two even though they knew about the cats. They didn't even contact rescuers for years when these two could have been helped early on.

Earlier this summer, a rescuer was contacted by a friend of an employee at this factory in right between South Slope and Gowanus. That rescuer who was out of state, reached out to many and only Vicki and I responded. Vicki got the cats promptly & they were soon transferred to Park Slope Cats' main space. Both needed lots of medical attention since they had suffered so much. We still have to recover 1250$ of the $1500 ER bill for Franny in addition to more we spent for both.

THANK YOU to the AMAZING short-term fosters we found for sweet Milk & Franny . Their story has been posted earlier on our feed. And the pics speak for themselves.

They love being solo cats albeit several others we have get along great with other cats.

See how happy they are! Both the fosters live in small one bedrooms & BOTH had their beloved older cats die recently. But instead of waiting for years like many do, they were immediately ready to open their home up for sad cats needing a bit of space, love and solace. We LOVE you! ❤️

Please, please, please consider fostering.... it makes a ton of difference. It changes lives! Even short term!

These two will need long term fosters soon! Please help us help cats like Milk and Franny and SO many more!

Beautiful Bella wishes you a while looking for . Could the be yours?

She is extremely intelligent, quirky, loves being next to you, enjoys sunshine, treats, playtime and affection.

Vetted, Vaccinated, Spayed, Microchipped, Negative on both FeLV/FIV. Very young adult.

Good with other cats. Okay solo but likely better with cats who are sweet and who don't bully her.

Looong overdue - especially the first pic. THANK YOU SO MUCH to all the kind souls who donated towards Franny's whopping VERG bill! We still have waaaays to go but every kind act is a drop in the bucket.

Franny & Milk are two sweet cats who went through a lot in a glass factory and were found in an extremely emaciated and fragile state having starved for who knows how long, covered in fleas and with medical issues.

Franny had completely stopped eating and had to be rushed to the ER by Jean and me.

Milk was vetted after Vicki picked her up from the factory, but had cysts removed from her. She does have a healthy appetite but will need more vet visits.

Franny as you can see in the video has been eating after her vet visit last month but will need a lot more care. But thanks to your kindness she is doing SO MUCH better!

VERG quoted us 6000$ for in patient care and $1500 for out patient care for that night. We still are recovering $1500 we opted for and have more than 4/5ths of that amount yet to recover.

Pic two is a BIG THANK YOU to all the folks I was able to pick up food & miscellaneous items from - from the local Buy Nothing group. Thank you so much! Also a Thank You to Sylvia R for the litter and cat carrier.

There's no cuter pair than older kittens/ young adults and - two sweet, extremely affectionate who were rescued earlier this year .

Marmalade the orange boy and Honey the tabby & white girl are loving, playful, cuddly cats that will fill your home with love, joy and sweetness. They love hugs, pets, sleeping with you, on you, window gazing, lounging and loving you and each other. They're better as just the two of themselves and not with other cats.

Fully vetted, vaccinated, fixed, litter trained, negative on both FeLV/FIV, microchipped- all they need is a stable, safe

This duo is a great addition to any good home. They're also good with kids. Must be indoor cats.

Our kitty and everyday cutie too is our girl Helena! Rescued from a horrific situation with four other cats (the other four all have forever-homes now, thank you & Lisa! ), this gorgeous tuxedo kitty has somehow managed to keep an open heart and loves her life now.

Only days after she was brought to safety, she was offering “hugs,” by getting onto her back legs and reaching her front paws onto her rescuers’ shoulders up to bump noses.

Helena's foster mom says "the very moment you sit down, she’ll happily run to your lap for some quality time. She has even been known to ignore her tasty dinners until she feels she has gotten enough cuddles!

Helena’s foster mom continues: “This affectionate girl is quick to warm up to her humans. She loves giving head-butts, making muffins with her paws, and offering endless nose kisses. Helena is also an expert greeter and will excitedly welcome you home every day."

Helena’s favorite hobbies include snuggling, chasing string, and bird watching, and she’d love them all even more if she was enjoying them in her . She's not that into being picked up but game to all other forms of affection.

Helena's rescue story is pinned on our feed. She came from a where she was imprisoned for life, had not been called by a disgruntled employee . She had also been penetrated repeatedly in her privates by an object (since she had never been fixed and was perennially in heat). Sadly innumerable & in nyc live this life. Hence the name after rescue. Helena is Greek for "light" and we feel she went from "Hell" to "Light."
