Cinnamon is a regular patient and one of our favorites, and she was getting a little extra love and comfort while getting her urine sample. She was having some urinary issues so it’s important to get a sterile urine sample via cystocentesis to test for a potential UTI. This can seem scary sometimes, but we think she knows how much we love her and was enjoying the extra cuddles from technician Effy 🥰

It is important that your pets are up to date on their vaccines before going to any boarding or grooming facilities, to make sure they are protected from catching anything. Here is Queso being such a good boy and enjoying a yummy treat while his urine was collected. Cystocentesis is a common veterinary procedure, involving collecting a urine sample directly from the bladder using a sterile needle and syringe, ensuring a sterile and uncontaminated sample, ideal for urinalysis and culture. Sometimes this sounds scary for pet owners, but this video shows how fear free it can be and the furbabies usually don’t mind it 😸
