The wonderful doctors at our clinic can prescribe medicine to help. Another helpful tip is to make sure your pet has your information on their coller. Marge was recently adopted and her new parents had her tested for heartworm. Unfortunately, she tested positive For heartworm disease. The treatment will be done over the course of several weeks and at a cost of above $1,000.00. If the previous owner had invested approximately $300.00 for heartworm prevention that would cover an entire year, this little girl would not have to go through the treatment. Remember, it’s always cheaper to prevent rather than treat a problem.
