Cheez it update!!!
A few weeks ago Cheez it was brought into us with an extremely damaged leg. A kind community partner trapped him and brought him into us! We can't imagine how difficult his life would have been living outside in this condition! Unfortunately there was extensive neurological damage to the leg and we were left with no choice but to amputate. Cheez it is doing amazing now and every day he gets sweeter and braver!

This is Ohana. An amazing community partner who's brought us cats before(including Cheez It a few weeks back)
was made aware of a cat in horrific condition late last evening. She went to find him today and wasn't leaving without him. Ohana has now safely arrived to Frankie's and is currently undergoing surgery. The story we were told is that Ohana was left in an apartment with 3 dogs alone for around 3 weeks after the tenants had been evicted. Around 2 weeks ago they came back and broke windows and at that time Ohana had this gigantic wound. Last night he was spotted under the deck of a kind Samaritans house. Under anesthesia he will be getting the dead tissue clipped( debridement) after this is done he will have Dynaderm/DuoDerm applied to his wound (a dressing that provides a healing, protective and sanitary environment) started on antibiotics and pain meds so that he never has to feel like this again. Ohana has a very long road ahead of him but we will fight for him and along beside him. What Ohana has experienced is beyond gut wrenching and we will never abandon him...that being said he is one of countless cats that are under our care and we know we have been asking for help a lot lately but we literally couldn't do this without your support. Honestly we will prob always be riding the struggle bus.....bald tires,missing hubcaps...no windshield wiper fluid...BUT still running...because of you. Thank you for keeping our heads above water. Because of your support Ohana has a fighting chance. In an ideal world we wouldn't have to be so stressed about bills adding up but unfortunately we do 🥴. We truly can't thank you enough...because of your kindness Ohana is safe today. To be able to say yes to helping him? That is quite frankly priceless. Ohana means that no one is left behind or forgotten. He never will be again ❤️

This is Buttercup who was brought to us just a few weeks ago from a community partner who's been a savior and responsible for trapping countless cats and kittens as well as bringing cats to us that need transportation. Buttercup was stuck to a glue trap. Can you imagine how painful and scared she was? Well this is Buttercup now. She looks AMAZING and we are BEYOND proud of her. Are we behind on phone calls? We sure are. Are we behind on adoptions? We sure are. Some employees were out this week for a MUCH deserved vacation which also added to our ongoing work stress. We are a medical rescue and not a shelter...as well as a low cost spay and neutering facility of course. We take pride in fighting for and saving cats that truly need us. We work late days and do the jobs of quite frankly a team tripple the size so please understand why there are delays. Cats like Buttercup will always come before a ringing phone. We truly take in the worst cases and just a few days ago 2 employees met another amazing community partner after hours because it had been hit by a car. So the point of this post is to please understand that nobody is trying to ignore you and any delays you may receive are quite frankly because we are busy saving lives like Buttercups. Please choose kindness.
To all of our wonderful supporters we appreciate your love and support ❤️. You are instrumental in Buttercups life as well as SO many others.
We would also like to give a shout out to our partner that houses our cats at the Black Cat Market. The review they received on account of us being behind this week was hurtful and without them we would not have the ability to help as many cats as we do. Thank you for standing by us ❤️

UPDATE !!! Sammy Is home !!!!

Please share to help get sweet Sammy home! Sammy was adopted through Frankie's years ago. He got out during a recent move and is not an outdoor cat or even remotely familiar with his new surroundings. Owners number is 724-732-5013
