Unlike his famous namesake, this Beethoven's specialty isn't composing symphonies... it's composing the perfect day: a nice walk, a game of fetch, a cozy cuddle session, and a spot in your bed at night. ❤️🐾

Tickets can be purchased at the shelter located at 1860 Old Airport Rd. in New Bern

If you happen to be attending the Trent River Raft Race tomorrow (June 6), you will have a chance to meet Sage & purchase tickets from 10:30-2.

Bambi didn't always greet people with that big smile. 🩷

When she first came to us, she was so scared she wouldn't even make eye contact. She wanted nothing more than to disappear into a corner and pretend the world wasn't there.

But thanks to patient volunteers, kind humans, and some wonderful dog friends showing her the ropes, Bambi has slowly started learning that not everyone is scary.

The shelter, however, is still a hard place for her.

Bambi has been returned twice through no fault of her own. Each time she comes back, she loses a little confidence and becomes more stressed. Watching her struggle in the noisy shelter environment breaks our hearts because we know how sweet she truly is.

This girl is dog friendly, kid friendly, crate trained, house trained, and promises not to cause any trouble. She doesn't need perfection. She just needs patience, understanding, and a little time to settle in and feel safe.

Once she trusts you, you'll discover the loving, gentle soul we've all fallen for.

Whether you're looking to foster or adopt, Bambi would love a quiet place to finally exhale and call home. 🐾

Jack would like everyone to know that his tongue sticking out is not an accident. It’s part of the charm. 👅🐾

This goofy boy is full of love, wiggles, and happy energy. Jack loves adventures, hanging out with other dogs, and making new friends wherever he goes. His whole personality feels like getting hyped up by your best friend after a long day.

He’s sweet, affectionate, and always ready for the next walk, snack, cuddle, or excuse to zoom around happily.

Honestly? One look at that face and you already know Jack is going to make someone’s house way more fun.
