We are not just a pumpkin patch, we are a family farm - 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, because who needs sleep, right? Feeding farm animals is like feeding teenagers, it's ridiculously expensive. One way we try to limit costs and utilize the land, is bailing our own hay, it's kind of crazy. 🤪 Our haying equipment is old and it teeters along - with fingers crossed and a few prayers, it carries on and gets the work done. 30 years ago my dad cut hay in these fields and I would DREAD hay season. But feeding your animals hay you’ve grown is kind of like making your family a homemade meal that they actually enjoy. It provides a sense of accomplishment and fulfillment. Maybe that’s why we keep doing this. 🤷🏼‍♀️🤔

📢 ATTENTION: calling all teachers and educators - we are starting to book fieldtrips for the fall season! 🚌📆🍂

Availability for fieldtrips is somewhat limited due to our work schedules. Here is what we have currently open: all day October 3rd, October 13th-15th and October 17th. We have a possible opening in the afternoon of October 16th for a small group.

We enjoy walking through the pumpkin patches looking at the new growth. We especially love it when the shell of the seed is still on the plant. It looks like a little hat. 😂🎩 so much potential energy packed into a seed! 💪🏼🎃

FLEECE to meet EWE! A clever ram found a weakness in the fence, enabling him to make repeated visits to the ewes' enclosure before being caught. As a result, we have a late lambing season in progress, with eight newborns to date. Their cuteness is a welcomed bonus. Being Icelandic lambs, they are smaller in size compared to standard breeds. They have the softest, curliest fleece. 🐑 👀❤️

We spent Saturday prepping the ground for planting. The black plastic will warm the ground, trap moisture and inhibit w**d growth.

Looking forward to a day of rest. Hoping everyone gets to spend time with family doing something they enjoy.

Rainy knows what’s coming… it’s that time of year - time to get ready for swimsuit season. We know girl, we know, no one wants to exercise.
