A big THANK YOU to Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains Troop 63991 👏 We were chosen to be the focus of their Bronze Award. The girls visited our shelter earlier this year where they met with staff to discuss different ways they could support our organization.

🧡Tag Day at our local Market Basket: The girls helped collect monetary donations and spread awareness of HSFN. They also brought beautiful handmade adoption cards and thank you notes!

🧡Donation Drive: Collected needed items such as sheets, blankets, towels, and soda flat boxes.

🧡Cat Beds: The girls practiced their sewing skills and made cozy beds for our shelter cats.

Happy Friday & happy news! Two of our long-timers have been adopted🎉
Scout (cat) and Baby (dog) arrived at our shelter in December 2025.

Scout was a nervous girl who often spent her time hiding behind a blanket in her kennel or curled up into a tight ball to take a cat nap. It took time for her to warm up to humans, but when she met her adoptive parents, she warmed up right away as if she knew them her whole life. 🧡

Baby was our partially blind senior Chow. He was adopted previously, but soon came back to the shelter as the resident cat was not a fan. Baby ended up going to a home that has Chow experience. 🧡

We're so happy to see these two find a home 🏠
