One Screw Loose One Screw Loose - custom woodworking Travis' career as a woodworker began several years ago while admiring an adirondack chair at a local shop.

As far back as he can remember, Travis has always had a knack for building things with his hands; be it a diesel engine or the occasional leprechaun trap for his son's school project. He immediately thought to himself, 'I can make this better, and cheaper' ...and so he did. With his new chairs on display, word spread quickly about the handyman down the block. Soon enough, friends and neighbors wer

e knocking on his garage door with requests from 'Can you fix this wobbly table leg?' to custom made cubbies and furniture. A few new tools and some classes later, Travis found himself running a pretty successful small business out of his very own garage! Travis resides in Oceanside where he is a Master Sergeant for the United States Marine Corps. He was raised in both Michigan and California, and is the proud father of three kids; Ella, Travis Jr and Noah. His other interests include reptiles (especially snakes), dirt biking and working on his 72' Chevy Nova.

The never ending mantle project finally came to a close. This simple but elegant design challenged me on many fronts. You will always want to make sure your measurements are good and precise for custom projects. You don’t want to be off at installation time 🤪. It is nice now to walk in the shop and I am not having to walk around the mantle. It sat right in the middle next to the table saw. Special thanks to Nicole and John for helping me get it transported and installed. I still have to go back and put the bottom trim on the bottom side legs.

Friends another project coming to a close however I still have the matching bookshelf’s to finish. This was a Murphy Bed made from red oak. This was a project that I am glad to be done with. It was not a hard project however it was massive. The mirror was 47”/47” and was not fun for delivery. I have 3.5 miles of dirt road leaving the shop. With carful planning we were successful in delivering it.

So friends thank you for your opinion on making a second rack. The table is not done yet however I want to show you the what it looks like. I now need to do final sanding, glue up and a nice oil/beeswax finish. Thank for your help😄
