About Leash Your Heart
Hi, my name is Imani Miller and I’ve loved animals my entire life.
I knew from the moment I could walk and talk that I was going to work with animals someday. I started with camps (like zoo camp and horse camp) and, when I was old enough, I began volunteering at shelters and fostering animals. After that, I got a job at a pet store and expanded my knowledge. I realized while working there that a lot of people asked about pet sitters in the area. After doing a lot of research I decided to start sitting on the side. I’ve sat for all kinds of animals since then and have loved every second.
Eventually, because of my husband being in the military, we moved to California. This is when I really decided I wanted to make a career out of this. I started Leash Your Heart and made dog sitting my full-time job. I instantly met so many amazing people and their pets and created life long bonds with them. I loved it so much that I decided I wanted more. This pushed me to go to school for grooming. I am currently in school trying to complete my hours but I’ve started offering my own bathing service and have certifications in Pet Sitting, Pet CPR, Pet Massage, and Pet Nutrition. I take my job very seriously and feel so blessed for getting to live out my dream.
