Now hiring for a part-time Animal Caretaker/Kennel Assistant. Duties include caring for 20-30 dogs and puppies daily while they get ready and await adoption. This involves lots of cleaning, but you will be rewarded with lots of love and tail wags. Number and days of regular scheduled hours may be flexible most likely 8-16 hours a week (looking for at least one weekday from 9-5), but we are hoping the person hired will be able to help cover additional hours for vacations or other days needed off there would be the possibility for weekend hours. Meet Mr. Tony! He is a Jack Russel terrier mix around 6 years old. Tony is a calm, kind and affectionate and adaptable dog who loves spending time with people. Tony is a mostly quiet low-energy dog who needs a moderate amount of exercise. He likes to be outside for periods of time and he’s leash trained. He’s also gentle, intelligent and eager to please. Unfortunately, he is territorial and can be aggressive towards other dogs, especially with male dogs or if food is involved. Otherwise, Tony would make an ideal and loving companion for people without other dogs and with some minimal additional training, which will be specific to his new environment! Oreo is (maybe) a schnauzer mix around 2 years old:) Oreo is not only adorable, but one of the friendliest dogs at the rescue towards people. She’s affectionate, playful and loves walks! She really enjoys spending time with people, sometimes just being with them or with activities, Oreo brings a real sense of joy. Unfortunately, she is often attention-seeking, resource-guarding and overprotective of people, which leads to her being unfriendly towards other dogs. She will make the ideal companion to people who are looking to have one dog only at their home.

Noir is a lovable Lab–Poodle mix, about one years old, who is patiently waiting for his forever home. While his littermates have all been adopted, Noir is still hoping for a family of his own.

He is a very sweet, affectionate boy who enjoys going on walks, playing with toys, and having fun with other dogs. Noir does best in an adult-only home where he can continue to build confidence at his own pace. He may be a little unsure around new people at first, but once he feels comfortable, his gentle and loving personality truly shines.
