We have 4 of the cutest Gold dust day geckos! (Phelsuma laticauda)
Found naturally in northern Madagascar, they have since hitched a ride to Hawaii as well as other islands.
This small day gecko gets it's name from the beautiful golden shimmers found along it's back. As if it's been dusted in gold!

They love to eat crested gecko diet along with appropriately sized insects.
Their small stature makes them a great candidate for the carefully planted terrarium!

We often start our mornings with enrichment for the small animals up front.

We don't exactly keep our hamsters in store the way we advise you to do so at home. But we do take steps to keep them comfortable and stimulated in their temporary environments.
Syrian or teddy bear hamsters should have at least 3'x18" of space and bedding deep enough to burrow in.
Offering different areas for the hamsters, such as.. dust bath area, food/water area, nesting area as well as foraging space, is essential to keeping a healthy and happy hamster!
This is a quick example of how we offer enrichment to the hamsters we have on display!
Staple food bowl, millet snips, trail mixes (limiting sugar contents) and flower petals all give the hamsters plenty to forage for!
We engage the hamsters each day to help acclimate them to human touch, offering them treats by hand, along with gentle petting.
