I recently took a day long online course on Canine Salon Dermatology in order to continue my education towards providing not only great haircuts for your dogs, but education in how to best care for their skin and coat. I passed the exam and have achieved the title of Certified Canine Esthetician (CCE).
Throughout 2020 and 2021 I took many online courses, certifications, and seminars to continue my education and keep up to date on the newest information. Now that there are in person shows again, I will be attending the All American Grooming Show Aug 12-15 to learn even more!

Groomers are now being able to open for business with some restrictions including curbside drop off/pick ups. I will be contacting all those who have had appointments cancelled during the closure to get your rescheduled. Please be patient as there are a lot of people wanting to get their dog back in. Grooming will most likely take a bit longer especially for those that are more than a month overdue for grooming. Everyone will get back on track and things will slowly get back to a little more like normal. I will be in touch soon!

Although the new Safer at Home order that goes in effect on April 24 allows some businesses to do curbside pickups, Pet Grooming services are still listed as a business that isn't allowed to operate. This order is in effect until May 26. I know your dogs are starting to look a little (or maybe a lot) shaggy, but we need to follow the government's order at this time. Hopefully the order will be revised as time goes on and we will be able to start grooming again even if we have to do it a little differently. Until that time, please try to brush and comb your dog at home, especially the ear/tail/face if you want to be able to have them still be fluffy at their next grooming appointment. At least by the time we can open it should be warm enough for summer trims! Stay safe and healthy and I hope to be able to see you and your pet's soon!

Home maintenance on your dog between grooming appointments is always a good idea, but even more so now if your pet is going to have to wait longer for grooming. Frank Rowe and Son is a grooming supplier who put together special grooming kits for us to offer our clients. This is the brush and type of comb I use when grooming your dog and a great smelling grooming spray to making brushing and combing easier. It is especially important to brush your dogs ears, tail, and head/face if you don't want those shaved short due to mats and tangles! The kit is offered at a slight discount to my clients for $24.00 and then I receive a small credit towards grooming supplies once grooming businesses are allowed to reopen. I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy. I hope to see you all soon!

Update March 24, 2020:

According to the Governor's "Safer at Home" Order, Pet Grooming is considered a non-essential service. As such, Groom'n Time has to remain closed until April 24th. We are honestly hoping the order does not extend past that time, as we know you all want to get your pets looking and feeling great again just as we all want to get some normalcy back to our lives. I will be notifying everyone who has upcoming appointments, to allow you to reschedule for after April 24th. Please stay safe and healthy, and your dogs will be looking great soon! I can't wait to groom again.

Effective Friday March 20, 2020 Groom'n Time will be closed for grooming/nail trims. I am hopeful to reopen on April 6, 2020 as long as we are legally allowed to do so. I take the health of my customers seriously, so even though the risk of spreading the corona virus through the grooming salon is low, closing temporarily is the right thing to do for the community by encouraging people to stay at home. Rest assured, I will be here to groom your pets once businesses are allowed to resume normal activity.

Covid-19 Concerns:

Groom’n Time will continue to be open and groom your family pets. If you would prefer not to come into the facility, I would be happy to come out to your car to discuss the grooming and take your dog inside as well as return your dog to the car after grooming. If you would like this service, please just let me know. At your appointment or pickup time pull up to a spot near the windows/door and send a text to 414-422-9222. I will assist you as soon as I am able.

I do ask that if you have traveled recently, are feeling ill, or have been exposed to others who are sick, please reschedule your dog’s grooming appointment. I will get you back on the schedule as soon as possible once you are well.

Thanks so much, and I look forward to seeing you soon.

It is shedding season. The dogs seem to be dropping a lot of coat earlier than usual this year. Not sure if that is good or bad news weatherwise.

It has been a very busy summer so far at Groom'n Time. Right now appointments are booking at 4-6 weeks in advance. I am working on returning recent phone calls and messages, so I can try to get everyone in as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience :)

Even dogs with shorter coats benefit from professional grooming. This sweet girl was looking for a home through a dog rescue, and got groomed to help with her shedding hair.
