California Litter update:

This is the last week for the California litter to be together on Sunday, two of the boys are going to their homes! Leslie has decided to keep a boy and the girl out of the litter and see how they develop. She really wants this litter to stay in CA. We will see.

In the meantime, Lola, the Mom, insists that she be allowed to get in the pen at least once a day to play with the pups. You can see just how much she loves them, by the care that she takes of them. It warms my heart to watch (and yes I know she shows her teeth and looks like she is going to eat them, but you can see that the puppies love playing with her and keep coming back!

California Litter Update Week 11:

They have had a long day. Lots of play time at the park. Lots of good chew toys that taste like chicken. Clean pen.

All in all - a good start to week 11 outside the womb!

California Pup Update: it’s a rough life being a puppy

Today the pups got their pen thoroughly cleaned and freshened up. While Grandma was working on that project INSIDE they sat in the playpen OUTSIDE. They loved it - barked at birds, chased a leaf or two, tried to eat a dead Zuchini branch….after that? Second Breakfast (first breakfast for the canine hobbits is at 5am). Now? Sacked out like a bunch of ranch hands after a cattle drive.
