☀️🐾 A Friendly Summer Reminder from DaKine Dog 🐾☀️

As the temperatures rise, so does the temperature of sidewalks and pavement.

If it’s too hot for your bare feet, it’s too hot for your dog’s paws. Hot concrete and asphalt can cause painful burns in just a matter of seconds.

🐶 Before heading out for a walk:
• Place the back of your hand on the pavement for 7 seconds. If you can’t keep it there comfortably, it’s too hot for your pup.
• Walk early in the morning or later in the evening when surfaces have cooled.
• Choose grassy or shaded paths whenever possible.
• Bring water for both you and your furry friend.

At DaKine Dog, we love seeing happy, healthy pups enjoying the outdoors—and protecting those precious paws is one of the easiest ways to keep them safe this summer.
