Swan River Stables is excited to offer a 4-Week Beginner Riding Program for new riders ages 6+!

This program is designed for riders with little or no horse experience and will introduce students to horse safety, grooming, tacking, riding skills, and confidence in the saddle in a fun and supportive environment.

Friday Morning Session
July 10, 17, 24 & 31

Sunday Evening Session
July 12, 19, 26 & August 2
5:00 PM

✨ 4 one-hour group lessons

✨ Graduates receive priority booking into our weekly lesson program

📣 Entries Are Now Open for the July 11 Swan River Schooling Show! 📣

We're excited to welcome everyone back for another fun and educational day at Swan River Stables!

🐴 Dressage entries are now open and will be capped at 40 tests. Once we reach that limit, additional dressage entries will be placed on a waitlist, so be sure to enter early if you'd like to reserve your spot.

📈 Our May show filled before the closing date, and we expect July to be another busy show!

🏠 We have also added additional day stalls for the July show to accommodate more horses and riders.

⭐ July 11 is the last regular season show before our season finale—the Ride for Rylie Schooling Show on August 15! The Ride for Rylie show will feature DOUBLE POINTS toward year-end awards, making July a great opportunity to earn points and prepare for the finale.

Now that we’ve wrapped up an incredible May show at Swan River Stables, it’s time to focus on another really special event happening THIS Saturday!

We are hosting an Equine Bodywork Clinic with Doug Knick and there are still a few spots available.

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about:
• how horses move and compensate
• identifying soreness and tension
• hands-on bodywork techniques
• helping your horse feel and perform their best

And one of the best parts — you do NOT need to own or bring a horse to participate.

We are offering FREE lease of Swan River school horses for the day so riders, students, horse lovers, and anyone interested in equine wellness can still get the full hands-on experience.

Whether you’re a competitive rider, lesson student, horse owner, or just wanting to learn more about horse care and biomechanics, this clinic has so much valuable information for every level.

Wow. Yesterday was our biggest Swan River schooling show yet, and we are feeling incredibly grateful today. ❤️

Thank you to every rider, trainer, horse owner, family member, volunteer, sponsor, and spectator who came out and helped make the day such a positive and welcoming experience for horses and riders alike. Watching this little show series continue to grow into such a supportive and encouraging community means more to us than we can say.

Our goal has always been to create a fun, educational, low-pressure environment where riders can learn, gain confidence, and enjoy their horses — and all of you are what make that atmosphere possible.

☀️ Summer is almost here, and we’re excited to announce that Swan River Stables is now offering lessons 7 days a week! ☀️

With additional instructors joining our team, we now have expanded availability for:
🐴 English Lessons
🐴 Western Lessons
🐴 Beginner through intermediate riders
🐴 Youth and adult riders

Our program focuses on safe, confidence-building instruction, horsemanship, and helping riders develop strong foundations both in and out of the saddle. Whether your rider dreams of the show ring or simply wants to enjoy horses and learn to ride, we’d love to welcome you to the barn this summer!
