This , we’re proud to spotlight Whisky and his handler Duane, a team that embodies dedication, love, and the power of training.

Whisky is a specially trained Medical Alert Dog who helps Duane manage his Type 1 Diabetes by detecting dangerous blood sugar drops — all thanks to years of focused training, community support, and the guidance of Monticello Dog Academy. 💙🐾

🌊☀️ This past Sunday, a few of our Dog Addicts members beat the heat in the coolest way possible—dock diving at Whispering Echos Farm in Cokato! 🐾💦

From building confidence on the dock to breaking personal bests, every pup made a splash—and we owe a big shoutout to Paul at Whispering Echos for his guidance and encouragement! 🙌🐕

Whether it was a brave first jump or a new distance record, each dog walked (or swam) away with more skills—and some very happy, very tired tails. 🐶😴

We had 7 soggy, satisfied superstars by the end of the day—and we call that a success! 👏

July was full of tail wags, new tricks, and lots of learning! 🐶🎉 We’re so proud of our Puppy Kindergarten and Basic Obedience stars who worked hard, made new friends, and mastered important skills. 💪🐕 From "sit" to "stay" (and everything in between), these pups are well on their way to being polite and confident companions!

A huge thank-you to Kathy Newman and her incredible dog, Centa, for joining our Canine Explorers class this past Monday! 🐾🧡
Kathy and Centa gave us a fascinating look into the world of volunteer search and rescue — showing us how trained dogs use their amazing sense of smell to help locate missing people. The dedication, teamwork, and skill involved in this work is truly inspiring!

We’re so grateful for the chance to learn from them — and we're sure our students (human and canine!) walked away with a whole new appreciation for the power of scent.
