We're excited to introduce Maddy, one of our Customer Service Representatives!

Although she's only been with our hospital for just over two and a half months, Maddy has had a love for animals her entire life. She enjoys seeing pets every day and finds it especially rewarding to support families during some of their most important moments.

Outside of work, Maddy enjoys driving her 1994 Pontiac Firebird Formula, attending car shows, walking her German Shepherd, Apollo, drawing, and checking out new coffee shops. She's also a proud dog mom to Tyson, her Bullmastiff.

When it comes to caring for patients, Maddy's goal is simple: to treat every pet as if they were her own, doing everything she can to help them feel safe, comfortable, and loved.
A fun fact about Maddy? She's had trouble pronouncing her R's and O's since she was a kid, and she says it's something she finds funny about herself!

We're so glad to have Maddy on our team. If you see her at your next visit, be sure to say hello!

🌭🐾 July 15th is national hotdog day!

Whether your pup is long and low like a Dachshund, goofy and energetic, or simply convinced that every meal belongs to them, today is a great day to give them a little extra love.

If you're enjoying a traditional hot dog, remember that many picnic favorites aren't the best choice for our pets. Instead, treat your dog to something made just for them and enjoy the day together safely.

Kylie joined our team two months ago and has loved getting to know our patients and their families. One of her favorite parts of the job is seeing pets come through our doors, knowing she helped connect them with the care they need.

A lifelong animal lover, Kylie always knew she wanted a career where she could make a difference in the lives of pets. She has a special interest in internal medicine; especially neurology, which was inspired by her own dog, Baron, who has neurological challenges.

When she's not at the hospital, Kylie enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her two dogs, Baron, an Olde English Bulldog, and King Louie, a French Bulldog. She also loves relaxing by the pool, watching TV, and writing songs.

Kylie believes every pet deserves to feel safe, comfortable, and loved, and she brings that compassionate approach to every patient she meets.
Fun fact: Kylie was born in New York and moved to Illinois when she was three!

💧🐾 July is Pet Hydration Awareness Month! 🐾💧

As temperatures rise, keeping your pets properly hydrated is one of the most important things you can do to support their health and well-being.

Fresh, clean water should always be available, whether your pet is relaxing indoors, enjoying a walk, or spending time in the backyard. Dehydration can happen quickly during the summer months and may lead to serious health concerns.

Watch for signs of dehydration, including:
🐶 Excessive panting
🐱 Dry gums
💧 Lethargy or weakness
🐾 Loss of appetite
☀️ Sunken eyes

To help your pet stay hydrated:
✔ Refresh water bowls frequently
✔ Bring water on walks and outings
✔ Provide shade when outdoors
✔ Consider pet-safe frozen treats for a cool refreshment
