Raven has been working in veterinary medicine for seven years and started with our hospital as an extern through the Joliet Junior College vet tech program, staying with us ever since.

After her second externship at the veterinary dental center, she graduated in 2020 and obtained her veterinary technician license shortly after. Raven has a special interest in client education, staff education, dentistry, and surgery. She enjoys teaching and training other staff members and educating clients to help them feel confident in caring for their pets.

Her passion for veterinary medicine began in childhood, at family parties, you often could find her on the ground hanging out with the dogs. In college after exploring human nursing, she realized her true calling was veterinary care and immediately applied for the veterinary technician program at JJC upon learning being a "veterinary nurse" was an option!

Outside of work, Raven enjoys video games, board games, painting, traveling, exploring tarot, and crystals.
Raven approaches patient care with clear communication and compassion, helping clients understand their pets’ needs and guiding them through sometimes stressful decisions.
Fun fact: Raven has broken both of her feet on separate occasions!

Amanda has been working in veterinary medicine for nearly 12 years and celebrated 10 years with our hospital in April 2026.
She loves being able to help animals and provide compassionate care, with a special interest in assisting with surgeries and learning fear-free handling techniques. Amanda’s passion for animals began in childhood, growing up with a variety of pets and always knowing she wanted to work in veterinary medicine.

At home, she shares her life with her two orange tabby cats, Sebastian and Oliver. Outside of work, Amanda enjoys attending concerts, going to the beach, traveling, exploring the outdoors, and spending time at home with her cats and husband.
Amanda approaches patient care with patience and kindness, always striving to make friends with every patient, even the spicy ones!🌶
Fun fact: Both her cats are ginger, just like her!

Last weekend, a few of our team members spent Sunday morning painting pottery and cuddling kittens at Arts on Fire 🐾🎨
Nothing better than a little team bonding, creativity, and kitten therapy to start the week right! We also loved supporting a space that promotes “adopt, don’t shop” and helps adorable cats find loving homes. ❤️

Annie has been dedicated to veterinary medicine for over 25 years, with 21 of those years spent as a valued member of our hospital team. Her long-standing commitment reflects both her deep compassion for animals and her dedication to providing exceptional care.
She especially enjoys caring for patients and educating clients, helping pet owners feel informed and confident about their pets’ health. Annie has a special interest in blood draws and IV catheter placement, where her skill and steady approach help ensure, procedures are performed smoothly and comfortably.
Inspired by a lifelong love of animals, Annie has wanted to work with them since she was young — and she continues to bring that passion to work every day. Her approach to patient care centers on comfort and understanding. She thoughtfully considers each pet’s fear and anxiety levels, adjusting her handling techniques to help them feel as safe and relaxed as possible.
At home, Annie stays busy with her dogs — Louise, a Pit Bull/Chihuahua mix; Grogu, a Springer Spaniel/Beagle mix; and the various foster dogs she cares for. Outside of work, she enjoys photography, reading, and volunteering with Rover Rescue.
Fun fact: Annie once dressed up as Doug from Up at Disney World — complete with the “cone of shame!”

🌸 Spring is in full bloom, and cats are definitely out and about! These handsome housemates dexter🐱 and oreo 🐱 recently popped in and visited us for their neutering. The surgery team snapped this sweet photo of them cuddling right before they got clipped, scrubbed and prepped for their procedures!

As the days get warmer, cats become more active, curious, and more likely to roam. Neutering is an important part of responsible pet ownership and offers many lifelong benefits.
🐾 Preventing unwanted litters
🐾 Reducing roaming, spraying, and fighting behaviors
🐾 Lowering the risk of certain cancers and infections
🐾 Helping decrease pet overpopulation in our communities

These sweet brothers are on their way to a cozy recovery together; likely with plenty of naps and snuggles ahead! 💕
