Welcome, babies!!

Our team helped Momma Rave welcome these magnificent seven this morning during an elective c-section.

Rave and all the pups are doing great!

This Rockhaven Cane Corso litter was conceived with frozen semen here at BVC!

** Shenanigans incoming **

Meet Hondo & Sabine—a pair of 5-month-old Rat Terrier siblings who prove that good things come in small but mighty packages. 🐾

💡 Fun fact: Rat Terriers are whip-smart, fearless, and basically born ready to take charge of the household (sorry, humans). These two come from a wonderful breeder - and we were lucky to have them choose us for their care!

Our patient Rumor welcomed five perfect babies last week!

Rumor was an unplanned C-section when labor stalled out - we met the breeder at BVC in the middle of the night. We were able to check the heart rate of the last puppy and saw that she was in crisis. Waiting would likely have been a fine outcome for Rumor, but the pup likely would not have survived. Despite the clinic under renovations, we were able to spring into action and save her fifth and final puppy.

Momma and babies are doing SO well - these puppies have fabulous working homes lined up for things like agility, scent work, obedience, and hunting! Rumor loves being a mom and is soaking up every minute with her little potatoes.

We are so proud of our teamwork and outcomes like this!

🚧👷‍♀️ Barb here, your favorite foreman.

I hired a crew to get this project finished. What did I end up with?

One scientist staring at a microscope.
Another one reorganizing shelves for the 37th time.
Someone scrubbing the same 6 inches of wall.
Another who thinks “working hard” means typing on the floor.
And don’t even get me started on the one hiding behind her coffee mugs.

Meanwhile, I’m over here in my hard hat, glasses, and power tools, doing the REAL work, and I don’t even have thumbs. At this rate, I’ll have the job wrapped up before they even find the on switch.

Bristol Veterinary Clinic is under construction this week as we finish up some exciting updates to the clinic. While we’re thrilled about the improvements coming your way, it does mean we’re working with limited capacity for appointments.

🚨 Dog Owners: Heads Up 🚨

We've noticed more coughing dogs in the area, often with nasal or eye discharge. Some shows have even been cancelled out of caution.

🐾 Keep sick dogs home and call us if they show signs of illness.
🐾 Stay current on vaccines—we offer Bordetella and canine influenza here at BVC.

We’ll keep monitoring and share updates as we have them.
