In very exciting news, we will be adding another new doctor to MVA team: Dr. Zoë Selby will be seeing cases starting at the end of this week. We are delighted to welcome her to the team and look forward to being able to provide an even wider range of care to your pets - including birds - in the near future! 🐶 🐱 🦜 🐓
Dr. Selby, originally from the Philadelphia area, graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Pittsburgh in 2020. She then moved on to veterinary school at the University of Georgia, graduating in 2024. While in veterinary school, Dr. Selby developed a strong interest in non-traditional species. She has trained at multiple wildlife centers and exotic specialty hospitals across the country. After graduating, Dr. Selby returned to the Pittsburgh area to complete a small animal rotating internship at Avets in Monroeville. She is particularly fond of avian patients and their unique medical needs and challenges. Dr. Selby also enjoys soft tissue surgery and neurology. She is passionate about providing high-quality wellness care to help pets lead long and happy lives.
Dr. Selby lives with her husband and their several pets, including two cats, two pigeons, and a leopard gecko. During her free time, she can be found working in a beehive, volunteering in wildlife rehabilitation, spending time with family, hiking, or baking at home.
