CONGRATULATIONS TEAM LINDY!

Lindy and I ran the Amateur at the Hinkley Retriever Club this weekend and got a JAM. After very little training over the past month I’m so proud that she finished a very challenging trial. Thanks to HRC, to all of the workers and especially to our judges for volunteering their weekend.

Passion's Heaven's Gold Soul Seeker JH CCA CGC WC THD
Seeker and Bonnie earned his first Senior pass last weekend at Lacrosse Retriever club. Thank you to the judges Tom Lind and Rich Ellis for a challenging but fair level senior test. Gratitude is expressed to Ryan Lester of Lester Kennels in Bloomer for his creative problem solving to move Seeker through some training issues. Also thank you to Rick Bauer of Woodduck Kennel and Joe Couey and John Froelich for the ability to train on their property. Also, for the friends who took time to throw marks for Seeker, Linda Van Huda and Nancy and Charlie Walters and occasionally John Froelich and Mike Hill. It takes a village. Thank you to Blackhawk

CONGRATULATIONS AIDEN & HANK!

Hank competed in his first Senior hunt test today. Only his 2nd ever test. We had great success at the test and earned our first senior pass! Big shoutout to John Froelich for being my early mentor in this awesome game. Another big shoutout to Darren Scott for helping get us to this level and over a couple big bumps in the road!

SASSEVILLE’S DEUCES WILD ( DEUCE ) brings home 2nd place at Madison Field Trial Open this past weekend. This placement qualifies him for the NATIONAL RETRIEVER CHAMPIONSHIP in Americus GA this upcoming November. So PROUD of RANDY & DEUCE’S hard work to become a GREAT TEAM in a short period of time !!!
I know that DICK is rooting for you all the way from the heavens !!!

Great Acheivement for you both!! 🎉🎉🎉

Do the thing that scares you most.

After cheering Sami on from the sidelines through derby and initial QAA, I decided to take a leap and do what scared me most: put myself out there and start from square one. I knew nothing about handling just a year ago. I had never done it because I was too scared to fail in such a tough game to play. I made some pretty EPIC mistakes and left the line in tears more often than I want to share during those first few trials. I used that feeling and my trust in my dog as fuel. I kept going. I trained, studied and I started asking as many of the “greats” I am lucky enough to know as many questions as I could get them to answer 🤣. Slowly, I have become more confident in myself as a handler, and a person through this ongoing journey.

I am absolutely elated to share that this weekend Sami and I together earned a 1st place in the Lacrosse O/H Q. This gave Sami her QA2. The best part is not the blue ribbon, the best part is I got to be there for it and that we shared this achievement together as a team. Just me and my companion. The same dog that sits alongside our kitchen table waiting for her 3 year old sister to drop a bite. The same dog that sleeps with her head on my pillow and anxiously awaits her pup cups on our weekly coffee shop dates.

His son Bullseye today.
Same trial, same field, ran from virtually the same spot. ❤️❤️.
Bullet was 22 months. Bullseye is 17 months.

Our Chessies had a good weekend at the Vikingland Field Trial. Valor took 2nd in a 25 dog Derby and Sandy Jammed a very challenging Amateur. The club members and judges put on a great trial in some very challenging weather conditions. Very proud of the only two Chessies in the trial.

Our hearts are so happy to see our hard work pay off today at Cranberry Country HRC. I am so thankful for all of the people rooting for us and giving us so much encouragement. This weekend reminded me that Loki and I have the best support system behind us.
