Our mission is to help educate the public about the importance of wildlife and wild places through our unique Wildlife Connection Encounters. Sunset Wildlife Connection is a non-profit 501(c)(3) exotic animal rescue and community outreach program. Wild places, the environment, and animals are struggling to survive in the wild due to human impacts and climate change. Each animal in our environment is important and we are here to teach you why and what you can do to help wildlife around the world. Through our wildlife encounters, our goal is to share our passion for wildlife and conservation with you in hopes that you will want to also conserve our planet and the amazing animals on it.

Time to smash some pumpkins

11/01/2026

Yesterday after our photoshoot with the baby, we went into the petting zoo to smash the pumpkin! 🎃 it was so fun to see the animals enjoy the pumpkin after we cut it all up 🐷🐐✨😋

I do have a video too so stay tuned for a fun reel later!

It’s times like this that I wish I could share the cuteness with you 🎃😭

But I did something fun with the animals afterwards. I’ll share that with you tomorrow 👏🐾🫶🏼

I hope everyone is having a Happy Halloween!👻

So grateful to VooDoo Krewe Of Pensacola for your generous donation to the animal rescue! $1700 will help us to continue hurricane relief and pay our zookeepers. We are so grateful to you all 🐾🫶🏼✨

Raven, the group founder, surprised us at VooDoo BBQ Pensacola and I literally cried 😭. I’m so grateful to have such amazing friends and such a great community in Pensacola 💖👏🥹

Keeping 70 animals safe from a hurricane is crazy…

We are SOOO incredibly grateful to the Voodoo Krew for helping to raise money for the rescue! 🐾 Stay tuned for a separate post to hear my reaction 🥹

Up on the roof this morning doing some fixing… and looked down at the most beautiful animal sanctuary there is! At least in my mind 🌳🐷✨😊

Before and after! 🌳

The cedar tree completely broke apart buried our tortoise exhibit. Our friends helped us cut it up and bury it, and Tommy has been burying almost daily to get rid of all the debris.

We are so close to reopening for encounters. We are hoping to have everything done (mostly) by Friday.

We have take a financial loss with the hurricane and were denied a few grants (I was not told why). So I am struggling to pay staff and need to go to tractor supply for a large feed order.

If you are able to help, please consider donating. Even a dollar can help out our nonprofit animal rescue ✨🐷🌀🐢
