The Leaning Post Ranch The Leaning Post Ranch has been assisting our community since 2001 with our gentle, intelligent animals providing Equine Therapy.

Our facility adheres to PATH standards for safety and high quality service. LPR is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization The dream of the LPR began in 1992 with one gang member and one horse. After several successes, the efficacy of the horse as a therapy tool took firm root in the Gersin's minds. As a riding instructor, Fran saw the effectiveness of equine therapy in the lives of children with ph

ysical, cognitive and emotional disabilities. The outreach of the Ranch program expanded to include children with varying disabilities and their families. Horseback riding develops self-awareness, builds self-confidence, improves concentration and increases self-discipline. Riding also strengthens and relaxes muscles, improves posture, balance and coordination, and increases joint mobility.
