A very special congratulations goes out to one of our Legacy handlers this weekend.

While her amazing dog; Violet, may be the one stealing the spotlight in these photos, this weekend is all about celebrating a very special milestone.

We are so proud of all the hard work, dedication, and heart that has brought her to this milestone. It has been such a joy watching this team grow through training classes, therapy dog visits, and community events.

Congratulations on your high school graduation and this exciting next chapter ahead. Your Legacy family is cheering you on every step of the way.

The Legacy Therapy Dogs teams recently attended the Senior Life Solutions open house at MercyOne Genesis in DeWitt.

Senior Life Solutions is a program designed to support the mental and emotional wellness of older adults through personalized care, resources, and community support.

Throughout the open house, our therapy dogs helped create moments of comfort, conversation, and connection for those who stopped by to visit. Whether it was sharing smiles, offering a calming presence, or simply giving someone a reason to pause and interact, these visits can have a meaningful impact.

We’re so grateful for the opportunity to support programs that prioritize emotional wellness and community connection.

Everyone’s favorite little visitor was back at Park Vista for another therapy dog adventure!

Benjamin may be small, but the comfort and joy therapy dogs bring during visits can make a huge impact. From smiles and laughter to quiet moments of connection, these visits help brighten someone’s day in ways that are hard to put into words.

That’s why we do what we do.

We’re so grateful for the opportunity to share these moments with our community and thankful to the staff and residents for always welcoming our teams so warmly.

The Legacy Therapy Dogs recently spent time with the team at Illinois Casualty Company providing a little calm, comfort, and connection during the workday.

Therapy dogs have a special way of helping people pause, breathe, and reset — even during difficult or emotional seasons of life. We’re always grateful for opportunities to support our community through employee wellness visits.

If your workplace is interested in bringing a therapy dog visit to your team, our inbox is always open.

There’s something special about seeing students light up when the therapy dogs walk through the doors.

Throughout the school year, the Legacy Therapy Dog teams visited John Deere Middle School twice each month to support students and staff by providing comfort, connection, and a positive break from the stress that can come with the school day. The dogs help encourage interaction, brighten difficult days, and create moments where students can simply relax, smile, and feel supported.

We’re incredibly thankful for the opportunity to be part of a school environment that values student wellbeing and meaningful connection. Watching these relationships grow over the course of the year is always something special, and we’re grateful to continue bringing the comfort of therapy dogs into our community’s schools.

Did you know therapy dogs can help reduce stress and create positive emotional connections in learning environments?

Yesterday, the Legacy Therapy Dogs visited the United Township Education Center to spend time with students and staff during their school day. Whether it was a quick pet, a smile in the hallway, or a short break to relax, the dogs loved being part of the day.

Thank you for inviting Legacy Therapy Dogs to visit and for the support you provide to your students every day!
