If you're looking for a trainer here are some green flags and red flags to look for. Trainers who use positive punishment do not fix the root of behavioral problems, they only teach the dog to mask their behaviors. Positive Reinforcement based training techniques used with counter-conditioning exercises are proven to yield permanent results. Build a bond of loyalty with your dog, not that of a jailer and a prisoner.
