Our breeding dogs are trained, shown, and titled in a variety of activities that allow us to properly assess their strengths and weaknesses. We are proudly located in the Osco, Illinois

☀️🐾 Our boarding crew has been soaking up the beautiful summer weather, enjoying plenty of outdoor playtime, fresh air, and tail-wagging fun! From zoomies in the yard to relaxing in the sunshine, our guests have been making the most of these gorgeous days.

We love seeing each pup’s personality shine while they’re here and work hard to make sure they feel safe, happy, and right at home. ❤️

Random Inspection: Passed! ✨🙌🏽

We’re proud to share that Sonnenhügel Kennel recently passed a random inspection by the Illinois Department of Agriculture.

Cleanliness, safety, and quality care aren’t things we prepare for when an inspector shows up….they’re standards we work to maintain every day.

This week’s report from Sonnenhügel Kennel:

The zoomies were fast, the wrestling matches were highly competitive, and several dogs worked tirelessly to inspect every inch of the yard for absolutely no reason.

New friendships were made, new toys were discovered, and a few dogs appointed themselves as managers of the entire group. Nobody listened to them, but that didn’t stop them from trying.

Overall, a successful week of playing hard, staying busy, and making sure everyone goes home ready for a well-earned nap.

It’s been a busy and exciting couple of days here!

Early this morning, we welcomed our X Litter (Voss x Iron) into the world, and last night our Skye x Cinch litter made their grand arrival. Mommas and puppies are all doing wonderful, and we’ve been soaking up plenty of puppy snuggles between grooming appointments and daily kennel duties.

We are now accepting applications for both litters. If you’ve been considering adding a puppy to your family, now is the perfect time to reach out and learn more about these upcoming puppies.

As a friendly reminder, bringing home a puppy is a family decision. Please make sure everyone in the household is on board before submitting an application.

Now for the important question—we need help coming up with a fun theme for our mini litter! 🎉 We love getting creative with our puppy themes, so drop your ideas in the comments. Movies, TV shows, food, country music, farm-themed, holidays—we’re open to hearing them all!

We can’t wait to watch these little ones grow and share their journey with all of you! 🐾

• Sundays at 10:00 AM
• 6-week course
• Build confidence, good manners, and a strong foundation for your puppy

🏆 Canine Good Citizen & AKC Trick Dog
• Starts June 8
• Mondays at 5:30 PM
• 5-week course
• Improve real-world obedience, teamwork, and earn AKC titles
• Dogs should already know basic obedience skills
