Well, butter my biscuits! This handsome fella is all dressed up, but there’s one thing missing from his picture… YOU! ❤️

Copper is wishing for a home today. Somewhere he can hang up his cowboy hat, kick back and finally settle in with a family of his very own.

He’s ready to trade shelter life for soft beds, belly rubs, backyard adventures, and someone to call his person.

He’s got the looks, he’s got the charm, and he’s hoping his next stop is a forever home rather than another day at the shelter.

💙 Meet Luigi! 🐾

Luigi is still just a baby at heart, still a pup around 1 and weighing in at around 45 pounds. Unfortunately, his owner decided they no longer wanted him because he was too hyper. 💔

The truth is, Luigi is young, full of life and still figuring out this big, confusing world. He can take a little time to warm up, because the world hasn’t always felt like a safe place for him. But he’s looking for someone willing to show him that life can be good, love can be kind and being someone’s dog can be the best thing ever. 🥹❤️

Chess is the best! And even though we love having her living her best life in our office, a home would be the most thoughtful gift we could give her.🎁

She is 2 years old and lives with many kitties here and sees the occasional doggy pass through.

🍯 Meet Honey! 🍯

At just about a year old, Honey is still a baby herself, and she is as sweet as they come! 💛

Honey came to us from a terrible animal cruelty case involving many animals living in horrible conditions. Despite whatever she has been through, this girl is HAPPY!🤗

She’s a young girl with so much life ahead of her and deserves nothing less than a loving home where she’ll be safe, cherished and treated the way every dog should be. 🐾

Honey is good with everything and ready to start her next chapter!

Let’s make sure Honey’s next chapter is filled with nothing but love. Please share and help us find this sweet girl the forever home she deserves! 🏡💕

📣 A Message to Our Community Regarding a Missing Dog

We understand how heartbreaking and frightening it is when a beloved dog goes missing and we sincerely hope this dog is found safely and reunited with her family as soon as possible.

However, we need to address some misinformation being shared publicly. The Herkimer County Humane Society does not have this dog, known as Maggie, in our care and we are not hiding her. We have been in contact with the family and have clearly communicated this to them more than once.

We have cared for this dog in the past when she has been out of their care and control and have worked with her family regarding her rabies vaccination and licensing records as they were required during her last stay at HCHS, sadly for Maggie, this time her whereabouts remain unknown.💔

What concerns us most is that someone is giving this family information that is not accurate, leading them to believe their dog is safe with us when that simply is not the case. We understand their desperation to find her and we wish nothing more than for them to have the happy reunion they are hoping for.
Giving a family false hope helps no one so shame on them.

We are asking our community to please share accurate information, avoid spreading unverified accusations and help direct attention toward finding this missing dog.

We sincerely hope she is found safe and that is exactly what we communicated to them when they called to inquire if we’ve seen her again.

We encourage anyone with actual information about her whereabouts to contact her family directly-Autumn Rain Decker .

Please keep the focus where it belongs: on finding this dog and getting her home safely. ❤️
